Free Music Review: Great CD - 4 1/2 stars
Hit: 4 Stars

This CD is great, but doesn't equal In Between Dreams in my opinion. There are not really an upbeat songs on this CD. I like the upbeat songs that are on In Between Dreams.

Free Music Review: STTS is pretty good
Hit: 4 Stars

I have been a big JJ fan ever since I heard Brush Fire Fairy Tales back years ago. I have all his stuff, so I was stocked when I heard that he had a new cd coming out, so I got it. After listening to it a few times, I have decided that I really like it. I kind of liked it when I first put it on, but it took me a few times to really listen to it and really like it. I like all the tracks, ecxept the title track. I understand how Jack and others feel about the WAR, but Im tired of it all being shoved down our throats like it is all the time these days. YES, WAR SUCKS, WHO likes it. If you do, you are insane. But war happens unfortunately. I dont support the war, but I do support the troops. The men and women over their fighting for whatever. I rather it be over there then on our soil. Anyway, I like this cd, except for the title track. Everything else is beautiful, as only JJ can deliver....

Free Music Review: Not his best but definitely worth the purchase
Hit: 4 Stars

I'll preface that I'm a pretty big JJ fan and I normally don't write reviews but had to for this since it's a unique album. I first put this in the car CD on the way to Tahoe (4 hr drive). The first loop of the album and I was not impressed. During this part I was hussling to get out of San Francisco so my mind was a little stressed out with traffic. When I hit open road I started listening a little more closely and focused on a few songs. Song #1, #7, #10 were the first ones that I started to get into and repeated a few more times. Started listening to the lyrics and noticed some good stuff. The album has a soft, gentle, almost country feel to it with a little piano mixed in here and there. By the time I got to my destination I had played the album about 5 or 6 times and got pretty into it. Overall there are some good soft songs and a few more upbeat (but not many.. maybe 2). There are also a few really really somber songs that I pass over and still don't get into. Overall I listen to #1, #2, #6, #7, #10, #13, #14 consistantly and for that it's worth it.

Free Music Review: great mix
Hit: 5 Stars

Probably not my favorite johnson album, but definitely great stuff. it's a good mix of on and on and in between dreams with some new elements added by zach gill and the more electric focus. the title track, angel, if i had eyes, and what you thought you need are all immediate favorites, and i'd recommend this cd to anyone and everyone.

Free Music Review: And yet another...!
