Free Music Review: It's difficult to top this Jack Johnson Album
Hit: 5 Stars

My goodness, it's always been difficult for me to rank the best Jack Johnson albums and even with Sleep Through The Static I still feel that way; however, after almost exactly three years since his last album (not including Curious George in 2006), Jack Johnson came back with an extremely powerful and feelgood album. I have two young daughters who absolutely love Jack's music and he has some powerful ability to create a ring in everyone's ear regardless of their music preference. I dare say that Sleep Through The Static is my favorite JJ album thus far. Of course because he is such a gifted artist, that could change back to Brushfire Fairytales, On and On, or In Between Dreams at a moments notice.

Buy this album, turn the stereo up, sit back in your living room with the lights out, and enjoy. I'd place a 1000% money back guarantee on this album!

Free Music Review: I love the music of Jack Johnson
Hit: 5 Stars

Jack Johnson continues to make quality music. My favorite song is the title track "Sleep Through The Static". It is an anti war song that advocates peace. I love Jack's vocals and Zach Gill's accordian playing featured here. My other favorite tracks are "If I Had Eyes" and "Hope". These tracks just make me feel good. Zach Gill pulls double duty playing the piano here. "Go On" is a song about a relationship that did not work out. "Angel" is such a romantic track. Jack's acoustic guitar playing is very pretty here. "Losing Keys" is such a laid back sounding song. Adam Topol provides a nice beat on the drums here. "What You Thought You Need" is a track about enjoying the simple things of life. "Adrift" is a very peaceful song. Jack plays the acoustic guitar so effortlessly here. I love this track. This album is very enjoyable and relaxing.

Free Music Review: Prop your feet up with a glass of wine or a nice beer
Hit: 5 Stars

I recently ordered this Jack Johnson CD and love it. I have been a huge fan of his from the beginning with Brushfire Fairytales being one of my favorite cds of all time. I do not agree that this CD is necessarily "darker;" I just think that Jack Johnson might be in a different place in his life than when he wrote some of his previous albums. The words seem to be more powerful and purposeful than some of his prior songs.

All of the music on this CD is similar to his previous ones in that they are still his beautiful, mellow, soulful tunes that we all know and love if you are a fan of his work. This CD, like his others, makes me very much want to kick back on the couch with my husband or a good book, prop my feet up and enjoy a large glass of wine or a nice, tasty beer while mellowing out to some of my favorite beats.

Free Music Review: The dark side of Jack Johnson
Hit: 5 Stars

I love Jack Johnson, I own all of his albums and I can honestly say that I love this album. Yes, it's more mellow. Yes, it's black and white as apposed to his previous colorful albums. Yes, it's not as upbeat as his other albums. So what? This CD is his best work to date. It's different, it is a step up from the crappy "Curious George" (I was really liking that album up until his laughable rendition of "Three Is A Magic Number").

The first song starts the album off strongly- All At Once. This song is great, and I especially like tracks like the title track, Hope, Adrift, Losing Keys, and They Do They Don't. The single from the album sounds a bit like a leftover from Curious George, but that doesn't bring the whole album down. Overall this is a nice, mellow, and relaxing CD, and is totally reccomended!

Free Music Review: Does not disappoint
Hit: 5 Stars

I became a Jack Johnson fan last year when my wife and I heard "In Between dreams" playing overhead in a restaurant. I was so impressed with his meaningful lyrics and catchy choruses. Needless to say I was really looking forward to "Sleep Through the Static". I have listened to it several times and each time I like it more. I must admit I don't think it's quite as good as IBD, but I gave it a 5 anyway based on a stand along album because I don't like to compare an artist to himself. Plus I wanted to combat the ridculous unwarrented negative reviews. This man is an excellent poet who knows how to craft songs. If you have liked any of this previous work you will be glad you bought this cd. I heard "If I had Eyes" as well as this CD are #1 on some charts around the world. Good job Jack!
