I really enjoy Jack Johnson's music. However this album is more of the exact same sound, exact same mix. I listen to it but it's more like background music and I don't find it all that engaging. For those of you unfamiliar with Jack Johnson this is mellow acoustic Rock, ala Gordon Lightfoot of the 1970's. If you enjoy mellow, down to the basics rock...digital analog recording, with a glass of Scotch, on a quiet Friday night after work! this is for you; enjoy!

Jack Johnson is one of my favorite musicians as I find his style extremely relaxing. I was disappointed with Sing Alongs and Lullabies from Curious George, so I was overjoyed to find that he had bounced back with Sleep Through the Static.Free Music Review: it's jack!

I am not a die-hard Jack Johnson fan and although I will admit that even at times his music can sound repititous, I really do like him (I did see him live once which was an amazing show!). I own one other album (In Between Dream) and after hearing Hope on the radio (which I do not like mainstream music and thereby listen to mostly albums so I think it was a 'sign'), I went and bought this CD on an impulse. But I really really love it. It is a masterpiece. It is lyrically geniousity and musically magical. I cannot wait to buy his other albums (why I am on Amazon right now!) and have them all. :)
