I was never a huge fan of Jack Johnson until I saw him performing at the Coachella Festival 2008. After that, I bought this album and just listened to it for days. I'm more of a rock and electronica listener, but Jack's soft voice and his beautiful lyrics just made me fall in love with this album. The more you listen to this, the more you will love it. Now, I own all of his albums, and am still listening to his music avidly. It's a great buy. See him in concert, he performs great live!Free Music Review: Still great

This is a great album, hands down. At first I was shocked at tempo of the songs because of the lead up to the release. However, after three times through my CD player I found myself diggin all of the tracks. I say judge the music for yourself, but don't bother with the low reviews because they are wanting a different beat and that's not Jack. You'll enjoy the albums because it's different, after all I didn't want the same music I had purchased before and I couldn't be happier.Free Music Review: Fantastic

Absolutely his best album to date. The songs are well crafted and very listenable. Also, the album is very well recorded. Listen to it on a good stereo (and I don't mean any Bose crap, iPods, or anything bought at BestBuy) and you will hear a very detailed and nuanced recording.
Even going beyond how good the recording is, the songs are just plain excellent. I find myself rarely listening to his other albums and just playing this one a lot.

The only people who will not like this ones are the people who only know Jack from In Between Dreams (Nothing against IBD, I thought it was great, however, it was less of his style then his first two albums). He brought back the style he used in Brushfire Fairytales and On and On. The C.D. is more mellow and less poppy then In Between Dreams. I am glad that Jack went back to his roots for this album and dug deep to create and excellent C.D.Free Music Review: im not sure what you people are listening to!

i can't understand how so many people can find this album disappointing! i have been listening to it continuiosly since i got it. the songs flow so very nicely and are transitioned well. "all at once" is one the best songs i've ever heard, its beautiful. the whole album has a much more dynamic sound with the keys and background lyrics in some tracks. OUTSTANDING! and i guess since no one likes it its just more for me!
