Free Music Notes for Solo Acoustic, Vol. 2Free Music Review: Good but not the best Hit: 3 Stars
Clearly Jackson Browne is one of America's most important voices in rock music. I liked Volume 1. But Volume 2 doesn't have the same effect. Though Brown'e's sincerity, respect for his audience and ability to connect with us is evident the selections just don't do it for me.
Free Music Review: JB Live and Talking Too Much! Hit: 3 Stars
Hey the man's a sperior poet...esp. when sharing the pain and joy of human relationships. But, his stuff speaks for itself, and is at its best when he does less talking than on this album...leaving us more space to relate and to wonder.
Free Music Review: J Browne Solo Acoustic 2 Hit: 3 Stars
Liked the CD, but no where near as much as Solo Acoutic 1. Browne is great solo, a thing not many can do. Just not many songs I really really liked, and Browne does have many great songs to chose from.
Free Music Review: Like vol 1 - a little boring Hit: 3 Stars
like the first vol - I thought this cd was a little boring. I like more variety. I think he could have picked some better songs.
Free Music Review: Dissapointed after Solo Acoustic Vol 1 Hit: 2 Stars
I absolutely loved #1, this one...i didn't love.
Unlike the other one, I find the audience stuff kind of annoying and obtrusive, particularly during the Redneck Friend section. The whole thing seems less focused, with a different vibe.
Listened to the whole album several times, nothing grabbed me.
Totally different than #1 where I loved just about every tune and enjoyed the comments.
