Free Music Notes for Fame the Musical (1999 Original American Cast Recording)

Free Music Review: So much talent...so much good material.
Hit: 5 Stars

Fame the musical is fully superior to the movie version. Natasha Renalls hits every note with gusto, and if you don't remember her name, you'll definitely remember her voice. This show is full of different personalities. If you are a fan of high school musicals, fun shows, funny lyrics, or the theater in general, get this CD. The unknown talent is phenomenal. If you are a musical theater nut, this show has a ton of good material to get in touch with. I met a few members of the touring company after one of their shows, and every single person was so nice and down to earth. Fame may not go to Broadway and it may not become the next famous American musical. But for those people who get a chance to know it, it stays in your heart. It's profound as well as it is fun. Anyone who gets this CD will end up relating to it and singing along. The songs are catchy and mostly easy to learn. Another bonus is that it's easy to understand the story just by getting the CD.

Free Music Review: Remember My Name!
Hit: 5 Stars

I was given this CD a while after seeing the musical at the Victorian State Theatre in Melbourne. Seeing the show definitely captured my spirit and made me want to be in the theatre! The songs definitely do grow on you. My favourite has to be "In LA" where Carmen Diaz sings of her lost dreams and what she's become after being taken advantage of. This CD's been on constant rotation for the past few days, always reminding me of the magic of the theatre - I've only been once! I'll go see anything that has Kelley Abbey in it though - she's the REAL Carmen Diaz!

Free Music Review: Im loving it!
Hit: 5 Stars

I saw the play and listened to the music a lot. i find that the music puts me in a good mood and i just love broadway music especially fame and les miserables. if you enjoy broadway music you'll love this. I know i do. the cast brings a fresh new way to sing these songs. All of the singers are fun and i love the way "carmen" sings fame. It was an amazing play. Humerous songs( just like reproduction from Grease II. I enjoyed the play/music and highly reccomend this CD for all who enjoy Broadway music. or any other type of music.

Free Music Review: I liked this CD.
Hit: 5 Stars

I haven't seen the musical but I enjoyed this CD. The music, in my opinion, doesn't live up to the songs in the movie (they should have used I Sing the Body Electric) but they're energetic and fun. Some of the lyrics are a bit simple, but I suppose you can argue that they're just simplistic like the characters. A lot of reviewers seemed to hate this recording in comparision to the London Cast. I haven't heard the London Cast, but the singing seems fine to me. The cast is talented. Besides the guy who plays Nick is really cute.

Free Music Review: "I CAN'T KEEP IT 5 Stars

I LOVE this CD. It's great. I saw the 1999 Broadway touring cast, and I HAD to get the soundtrack. It's a staple in my car; wonderful to sing along to in the morning on the way to school. Its so much fun, 7:30am, all these bleary eyed drivers, and here you are "FAME! I'M GONNA LIVE FOREVER..." hee hee. I notice alot of people didn't like this CD. Maybe it's just because I fall head over heels in love with EVERY show I see live, but I would definitley reccomend this CD to everyone!
