Free Music Review: Great album and Great guy

This is one of my favorite albums by far. Eight Second Ride is probably my favorite song on the album but there are several other that are strong efforts. The only song I don't like is "You Can Thank Dixie." It isn't a bad song but it misses the fun or deep emotion you find in the rest of the album. I think the idea to bring in Randy Owen was great for his debute album but this song just didn't work for me.
Almost every other song has a strength. It's easy to relate in some way to "Startin' with me" and "Ghosts." On the other hand you have "The Bad in Me" which has an original sound that just sucks you right into the album on the first track.
This is one album I can and halve listened to over and over.
One additional note: If you get a chance to, try and see Jake live. He is a really nice guy and after he gets a few drinks in him he doesn't like to start playing. I have seen him run two concerts well over their time limit because he enjoyes music so much.
