When I first heard about this score I was not quite sure if it would be any good, but to my surprise it is!The Main Title opens the movie with a glorious feel of magic.
My favourite track on the album is "Flying" which presents the main theme in full and is very clever how it mixes "synths, drums & orchestra" to create a piece of music that I can tell you will be used in numerous trailers for many years to come.
Film Score fans cannot be without this one!

I purchased this soundtrack because I enjoyed the movie, I never expected to love the CD even more. The composer tells a story of Pan better than the movie does. The flutes and chimes are amazing. The music is almost dream like in Fairy Dance, and inspirational in Learning to Fly. I began to appreciate instrumental music after taking flute lessons, and now I throughly enjoy the language of it. I saw this movie when it came out. Immediately afterward, I went to the store to get it--had to wait three weeks for it to come in, but it was totally worth it. I listened to nothing but this and the Wicked soundtrack for months. The music is so beautiful and moving--I still listen to it all the time because it's both soothing and uplifting. And it has definitely appeared on the recent Disney commercials! I was so excited when I heard it. :)Free Music Review: Truly a feast of haunting magic and adventure!

This soundtrack has to be one of the best i've heard in a while and i buy alot of soundtracks. Being a Music Student at Uni, James Newton Howard has done a remarkable job, everytime i put the cd on, the music sends shivers downs my spine! Definitely some interesting use of instrumentation, definitely original, definitely a wonderful score that i will always love no matter how many times i play it! well done James Newton Howard!!Free Music Review: Magical

This is a truly amazing soundtrack. I love all of the songs but my favorites are "Please don't die" , "Flying", and "Peter Returns" The music protrays the story very well if listened to in chronological order (which is my only complaint about the cd, that its not in order) The music is magical and very well composed. James Howard did a wonderful job on it. It's definately a must-have.
