I do find it very sad when a so called "artist" lives off the same 30 year old songs that are played Ad Infinitum on your local "Easy Listening" Radio Station.These songs were recorded in a time when Mr. Taylor was seeking solace in The Arms Of Morpheaus instead of his wife at the time Carly Simon. This album contains the semi autobiographical song "Fire And Rain" which appears to be about some girl named Suzanne who was in trouble but Mr. Taylor was too busy in Rehab to find the time to help her. This is truly one sorry excuse for an album.I do give it 5 stars however because thankfully Mr. Taylor fell into Music Obscurity after the success of these recordings.Free Music Review: Hey it's JT

I've been a fan of James Taylor since his first album but had no CDs of his music. When I saw this new release, I figured it was about time to add a JT CD to my collection. It is probably not one I would listen too all of the time but all of the cuts are solid and reflect the wide range of talent JT has demonstrated over the past 30-plus years. I have to say that I had forgotten his bluesy Steamroller. This is a bit out of the standard JT mold but he does a fine job with this heavy blues tune. A must-purchase for new fans as well as anyone who has followed JT through the years.Free Music Review: Hey it's JT

If you're feeling nostalgic or if your entire James Taylor collection is on LPs (record albums) this production can't be beat. Sure its only the highlights of a great careeer, but when I'm in the car its great to know that every cut will be special. This includes golden oldies like 'Sweet Baby James', 'Fire and Rain', 'You've Got A Friend', 'Long Ago And Far Away', and 'Something In The Way She Moves', and as a bonus something new, 'Bittersweet' and that it is. Where has all the time gone- get it back if only for a moment. You'll enjoy this one.Free Music Review: Folk/country/easy listening at it's absolute best!

I have held out from buying his first "Greatest Hits" because it hadn't been remastered, now with this new compilation I see no need to buy his "greatest Hits" volume 2 either. This is the one to buy as all the hits are here and beautifully remastered and all for a heck of a price.I have his first four albums on vinyl from way back when and this edition has all my favourites, I can't recommend this compilation highly enough. If you need any more JT than this than you must buy his individual cd's which is not a bad thing.
