Free Music Review: One of my all-time top 10

Musically and lyrically a 10, this album took me by surprise. I bought it because a friend said Daniel Lanois had produced, when instead it was produced by Lanois' sometime-collaborator Brian Eno. I like Eno, but sometimes his music gets lost in the technology. That's not the case here. The band is great, the singing is great, and the album is consistent and cohesive. If you like U2, I can't see how you wouldn't like this, yet if you don't like U2 you might still enjoy Laid. It's sometimes gentle, often funny, and always a delight.
