Free Music Notes for DisciplineFree Music Review: She can do better Hit: 2 StarsJanet Jackson has been in the limelight her entire life from her young days as an actress and sister of Jackson 5 to her own unique and monumental music career. She is legend.
However, her album Discipline fails to live up to expectations. I'm not saying it's not a good album but by Janet Jackson standards it seems lackluster. I imagine for new fans this album is hotcakes extra syrup. With songs like Rock With U, LUV, Rollercoaster, Can't B Good, Curtains, Whats Ur Name, and Discipline this album could have done better than what it did. But the people she was trying to cater to already have their "icons" i.e. Rihanna & Ciara among others, so it was really no room for Janet. Even with those aforementioned songs though the other songs are on the terrible side and the skits are useless as most skits usually are. 7 songs out of 22 including skits is not a good ratio. I just can't put my stamp of approval on this album. Janet Jackson can do better than this and we all know this.
Free Music Review: not her best Hit: 3 Starsi'm not that crazy about his album. she's fallen off sincce the last few albums janet and velvet rope. a few good tracks, but not that many.
Free Music Review: A good try but a miss Hit: 2 StarsThe sound is great on this cd, but the vocals are especially weak and do not keep up with the music. Janet is hard to understand and after listening to this cd a few times, I wonder if what the point of it is - definitely not a statement like the old Janet - Rhythm Nation is such a hard standard to be measured by but for Janet, that is what everything is compared to and this one does not come close.
Free Music Review: JANET JACKSON "DISCIPLINE" Hit: 5 StarsJanet's latest album "Discipline" is one of her best albums of her career, alot of people have praised it saying how the first half of the album has got great production and I would completely agree but there are songs on the 2nd half of the album that are equally as good and as catchy.
Hopefully Janet will do a WORLD TOUR and not just a US tour in support of this album :)

Free Music Review: Discipline-a new musical chapter for Janet Hit: 5 StarsI was in doubt about getting this album since there was no Jimmy Jam or Terry Lewis. Instead, she worked with The-Dream, Jermaine Dupri, Rodney Jerkins, Ne-Yo, and Stargate. It did not matter when I purchased this album. I love this album to death. Discipline shows that she is venturing new waters. Discipline began in her childhood. She expolred different scenarios-some exotic, many erotic, but all deeply emotional. The album just does that. Discipline helped her mature as a woman and an artist. This album is a key to freedom. It also focus on thoughts and feelings that nourish our physical and spirtual lives. This album should have been promoted more.
