Free Music Review: Some of these reviews need disciplinary action!
Hit: 5 Stars

I have read countless reviews of DISCIPLINE and believe it or not I never wasted my time with writing my own review but that has stopped now. Like many, I have been a huge Janet fan since control and love everything she has done. Classic albums such as Control, Rhythm Nation 1814, Janet, & the Velvet Rope will 4ever remain Masterpieces, However Discipline is not that far behind. I can see where people have rated this album a 3 or 4 (because of their own opinions about the album), but to give this album less than a 3 rating is CRAZY!!!!

What people fail to realize is that Janet's past albums was a different time for her. You cannot expect Janet to remain in a dark place like "The Velvet Rope" or talk about whats going on in the world as "Rhythm Nation 1814" with every single album she comes out with.. If she did that with every album, wouldnt u think it would be very repetitive of Janet and would show lack of talent or ability to change/grow as an artist? (Think about it)

It's called Growth and Change people. I don't know if we're listening to the same album but I rated it a 5 because that is what this cd deserves! No need to go into track listings because people have done that already. Janet is still No. 1 and an ICON nonetheless of what people may think.

I will end this by just saying that DISCIPLINE is a great upbeat cd in total. It has been in heavy rotation since Tues. 2/26 and I dont see it going away anytime soon! (And Discipline is projected to come in No. 1 its first weekend selling 200K... so to the haters, Men & Women lie all the time but NUMBERS dont)

Free Music Review: She's doing just fine
Hit: 5 Stars

I would agree with some posts on here that Janet's "Discipline" album isn't nearly as good as some of her others. I personally LOVED her "ALL FOR YOU" album and thought that was the last album that had the real, authentic Janet feel. Truth be told, she is talented and she is a wonderful performer to watch, I've gone to several of her concerts and actually can't wait until she goes on tour again, because dammit, the woman knows how to entertain an audience. Her last two albums, I bought and still listen to. There are some tracks on both Damita Jo and 20Y.O. that I skip right over because it has too much of a 'wanna be' hip hop feel to it...I think that's where Mr. Dupree stepped in. She is an ICON and her image cannot be changed - she is not Mariah Carey who can belt out different octaves to any melody given to her. J.J. needs to get back with her old songwriters (and perhaps Mr. Elizondo) so she can get her groove back. I am still a faithful Janet fan and to me, she will always be Miss Jackson and my favorite artist. Personally I love "DISCIPLINE" - especially "Feedback", "LUV", and "Rock Wit U" - those songs, I can just imagine being played at the club. She has made a real comeback from 20Y.O. - she was highly critcized for her "indecent exposure" at the SuperBowl. I think people should get over it. That was like so 2 years ago. Besides, wasn't Justin the one who pulled off the cup to expose her nipple? Wah Wah Wah...there are worse things on TV than Janet's nipple. She is a REAL performer...and I say YOU GO MISS JACKSON!

Free Music Review: So Much Betta!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Everyone Janet is back!!! I am tired off all the negative comments about this album. This is her best work since "The Velvet Rope!" I read one review that "Janet needs to stop singing about sex and stop laughing in interludes." Isn't singing about sex what Janet does best? Her laugh is sexy and just one of the many things Janet is good at. The whole album is a masterpiece and I have listened to it nonstop since I recieved it the day it came out. She has finally reached the point of perfectly combinding upbeat tracks and ballads since the days of "Janet." She is also looking more confident in the pictures from her album. She has nothing to prove as she is one of the few ultimate divas remaining. I expect many good things to come from Ms. Janet and even if this album doesn't sell, it will still be a classic to me. Just because someone can't sell a million copies of an album doesn't make them any less of an artist. The music industry is washed up and nothing but crappy wanna be rock bands and rappers are on the top of the charts. Remember Janet is old school and most of today's generation isn't going to get her. This limited edition version of the CD is worth the couple extra bucks. The DVD is a full 30 min of Janet and what's not to like? Take the time to listen to "Discipline" before judging it on the sound samples or a first listen. This fan is here to stay and will "Never Letchu Go!"

Free Music Review: Stand back cause Miss Janet's Back!
Hit: 5 Stars

Let me just first start off by saying that I really enjoy Discipline. The album in my opinion was great and I really enjoyed her songs since The Velvet Rope album. I read some people down janet because now she is 41 years old and they think that she should not sing songs that are sexy anymore. But let me tell you something, I don't remember anybody turning 41 years old and they stopped having a sex life or they stopped feeling sexy about themselves. Discipline is one of those songs that janet sings about her daddy (man) teaching her a lesson because she has been a very bad girl. I would admit that it is a little freaky but it ain't like I have not heard anything freaky before. To me Janet is still beautiful in her early 40s and singers like Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, and other singers that have been around for sometime are still amazing women and singers. I remember when I first saw the video for Feedback and heard the song and I was just blown away and happy that Janet came back to the music industry. I am in love with the album and of course everybody is going to have their opinion of the album but I say that despite the haters even when Janet Jackson turns 70 years old she will still be the bomb. So for all you haters let me just remind you if you have forgotten, JANET JACKSON IS BACK AND SHE IS HERE TO STAY!

Free Music Review: Way better than the last 2!
Hit: 5 Stars

I have always been a huge Janet Jackson fan. Ever since her debut in 1982 I watched her rise to stardom. She is still one of my favorite artists of all time. For the first time ever, her last 2 albums disappointed me. Damita Jo and 20 Y.O., did not live up to its standards. She chose the right path this time. Way to go Janet! The song "Feedback" is her best in years, in my opinion, it's her best since 2001's "Someone To Call My Lover". Even though it had very little airplay and almost 0 promotion. It's a great song and it deserved more attention than it did. Her second single "Rock With U", is fantastic! I fell in love with the song, the first time I heard it. Maybe this song will get the attention and bring Janet back to the top. The third single "LUV" is the best track on the album. After listening to the full album, I found myself putting this one on repeat.Other standout tracks are "Rollercoaster","So Much Betta","2nite","What's Ur Name?",and "Can't B Good". All the rest are very good. This a fantastic album from Janet. Her last great album was "All For You". Even though "Damita Jo" and "20 Y.O." were good in some spots, but this album proves she still has it in her. Maybe the label change was a fresh start? Possibly! I am glad she is back with album. I recommend this album to you! You will not be disappointed!
