Free Music Notes for DisciplineFree Music Review: Feelin it!! Hit: 5 Stars
Wow, I really went into this cd thinking I would not like it. I've always been a huge Janet fan but just didn't know if this was going to quite do it for me. I absolutley love it!!! It is most definitely an adult-themed cd but I think that's what makes me love it even more.
As some Feedback to some other reviews:
I live in Hollywood and Feedback always packs the dance floor and the energy is amazing.
Why can other singers over 40 sing about sex and it's fine? Hmmm....
This is a very R&B/Soul, Dance, cd. Even if it doesn't sell, I'm enjoying every bit of it.
Free Music Review: Ignore the haters, this is an excellent CD! Hit: 5 Stars
Janet Jackson's tenth studio CD is a wonderful revelation in that it provides her with a needed shot in the arm creatively, by revisiting her dance-pop roots and updating her aesthetic to create an awesome aural experience! Janet Jackson loves sex, yes...who doesn't? Does hitting 40 somehow mean that you can't sing about sex, or just create a fun, carefree album of bass-heavy jams and clever hooks? From "Feedback," to "Rock With U," to "2nite," and "Rollercoaster," that's exactly what she does. Get over your biases and your pre-conceived notions and enjoy this excellent suite of modern pop, dance and R&B!
Free Music Review: Ms. Janet is Back! Hit: 5 Stars
She's Back! I love the new cd. It is way better than her last two Cd's. I love the futuristic sound. It's really different. My favorite is Rock with You. When I first heard that song, it reminded me of the first time I heard Michael Jackson's Rock with You. I think getting new producers helped her establish a new sound. My least favorite is The 1. Too much like the other songs with Missy.
This CD is "So Much Betta" than the last two CD's. I can't wait to see the dancers perform in concert to that song! Great Job Janet!
Free Music Review: Janet Jackson redeems herself from the last album Hit: 5 Stars
Even though I didn't think the 20 Y.O album was awful I didn't think it sounded like Janet, but she definitely redeemed herself from this album and I love the album. In my opinion the weakest song on the album is Greatest X, other than that, every song needs to be blasted. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the title track "Discipline," and "Curtains" Those are my two favorite. I love you Janet and can't wait to see you on tour this time around, PLEASE COME AS CLOSE TO TALLAHASSEE, FL as possible. (I don't even know why I said that as if she's gonna read this, oh well)
Free Music Review: JANET'S BACK Hit: 5 Stars
I've been a fan of Janet Jackson since the early days and will typically buy whatever new CD she releases. That being said, I have to admit that I wasn't too crazy about either Damita Jo or 20 YO. I am really enjoying "Discipline". It's not Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis but it is Janet in a new direction. It sometimes takes me a while to get into a new Janet CD. I hated "Rhythm Nation" on the first listen but it grew on me after listening to it a while. There are several cuts on this CD which I love and I know that the remixes are going to be fierce.
