Free Music Notes for We Sing, We Dance, We Steal ThingsFree Music Review: Fans of John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, Josh Ritter... Hit: 5 Stars
Fans of John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, Josh Ritter...
check out singer/songwriter James Willhite.
"Willhite often draws comparisons to artists such as John Mayer and Jack Johnson because of his smooth voice, heartfelt songwriting and mellow blues-inspired guitar work. Although Willhite has discovered his own unique sound as of lately, the presence of these contemporary greats is quite prevalent. One may also hear the subtle blues influence of the late guitar legend Stevie Ray Vaughan, who along with Mayer and Johnson is Willhite's biggest musical inspiration."
Debut EP and new single are here on Amazon MP3, on iTunes and emusic.

Free Music Review: Make It Mine Hit: 5 Stars
Very creative third try, and is very succesful in the market due to the I'm Yours single. Rest assured, as much as I enjoy I'm Yours, the song is not the strongest in the album, which is good news to all Mraz' true fans. That means there are many other songs that would get you to sing, to dance, hmm, maybe not so much of stealing things. But it'll definitely steal your heart. Beautiful songs like Details in the Fabric (feat. James Morrison)and Love for a Child offer Mraz' sensitive side. Live High and I'm Yours are so cool, you wish you were chillin' somewhere on the beach. Butterfly is a very sexy piece that'll get you in the mood for some.
Third time is the charm. Can't wait for his fourth. You should definitely make this album yours. I certainly Make it Mine.
Free Music Review: Even more than I expected Hit: 5 Stars
Not having heard anything from Jason Mraz in a while, I was wondering what kind of follow-up he would have to the theatrically mediocre "Mr. A-Z". But when I heard the first single from this album, I knew he was going for a Jack Johnson sound that has become so popular. I wasn't convinced that there would be any depth to the rest of the album, until I listened to it in full. I was blown away by how great each song was, and the duets with Colbie Caillat and James Morrison were a dream to listen to. Jason's vocals have grown, his lyrics are smooth and melodic, and I really enjoy this album after a hard day's work. It was a great leap above any of Jason's previous albums, and a sign that he's growing into a great musician. A great summer album, indeed!
Free Music Review: Addictive Hit: 5 Stars
I never expected this... I bought this cd by mistake. I thought I had it in my "save for later" list while I contemplated buying it, I placed an order for some other items and it showed up. Well, the two other cds I bought haven't gotten any love whatsoever because I've been playing 'We Sing, We Dance' continuously. And I'm not the type to do that. I can wear of a cd fairly quickly. But I find myself listening to this cd constantly... endlessly. I guess it's becaise of how individual each song is, such an eclectic mix, so creative in his use of instruments and various vocal stylings.
Simply put, I love it. Now I'm about to order his previous cd and I haven't even heard a song from it. If you're on the fence, just buy it and enjoy!
Free Music Review: Best album to listen to this season... Hit: 5 Stars
Jason's lyrics and melodies never cease to amaze me. I was gladly surprised to hear that the instrumental production on this album wasn't as pronounced on his previous albums; his voice definitely has more opportunity to shine!
This album has a very interesting musical direction; you can tell how this 3 year hiatus has affected Jason's mentality and overall outlook on life. There are some instances such as 'Live High' and 'A Beautiful Mess' where you can hear background vocals coming together like a gospel choir. But Jason still keeps his laid back roots with his fun and articulate lyrics and island melodies ('I'm Yours' anyone?).
Jason keeps it fresh, revitalizing, and new. What more can you ask for? Go and get it!
