Free Music Notes for The Lovers' WaltzFree Music Review: A Showcase of Musical Texture and Talent Hit: 5 StarsUnger and Mason are truly remarkable musicians, and this album illustrates that musicality perfectly. Nuances of dynamics, harmony, and soul are in evidence. The range of style is wonderful, too - a real treat for the ear and heart - from swing to zydeco to romance. It shall have a permanent place in my collection.
Free Music Review: Superbly done. Hit: 5 StarsHeard an interview with Jay & Molly on National Public Radio regarding The Lover's Waltz -- was so impressed had to go out that day and find the recording. It's a good thing CDs don't wear out -- I play it so often. If I could only have one music CD, this would be it... Who would have thought you could get so many different emotions and sounds out of a fiddle? Zydeco, appalachian, baltic, Southwest -- whew! How do they do it?
Free Music Review: Don't miss this album! Hit: 5 StarsThis album is the best! It has beautiful instrumental music and great singing. If you pass this up, you will miss a great deal. So, don't miss "The Lovers' Waltz."
Free Music Review: Really wonderful CD Hit: 5 StarsI happened upon this CD in a music store. I was looking for something different and picked this up. I actually thought it would be more like classical-type waltz music, like ballroom waltzing. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't. We listen to it often and never cease to enjoy it. And we have found an amazing fringe benefit--it puts our kids to sleep in an instant at night! Now anything that can do that is really worth something!
Free Music Review: Lovely work from the musicians from the PBS "Civil War" Hit: 5 StarsHusband & wife team of Jay & Molly always do wonderful work, and you can't do any better than to get one of their cds, or even a cd of their group Fiddle Fever. Their music is also heard on several Ken Burns PBS mini-series soundtracks.
