Free Music Review: There's a reason they won the Grammy for best collaboration
Hit: 5 Stars

I am so tired of people spouting off their worthless opinions about a band and saying that they suck because they are "mainstream". So what if they are mainstream. I am talking about Linkin Park here. I love their music and I don't care if they are popular or mainstream. "Wanh, this band is mainstream so I refuse to like them even though they are good. Wanh, I only like bands that are obscure so I can feel like I discovered some great secret that everyone is too stupid to pick up on." Shut up!
Back to this album....I do like the Jay-Z/LP collaboration, however I prefer the original LP music in its pure form. But it's an interesting change to listen to it because I like Jay-Z as an artist separately, and I can't say enough great things about LP. I like music regardless of whether or not it's popular. I'm not going to let a bunch of Emos dictate to me what I should or should not like. Go strum your guitar and cry in your garage and let people like what they want. If something is popular, there is probably a good reason for it. This is a good album, and not a waste of money. If you like LP and Jay-Z, then you would probably like them together. If you only like one and not the other, you will probably dislike the alteration of the respective artist's music. My boyfriend loves LP but hates rap music so he would not listen to this. But I recommend it if you like both artists and are debating on whether or not to buy it.

Free Music Review: I'm fifteen, BTW, but let's get on with it....
Hit: 5 Stars

It seems that no matter how many times a decent person tells all the haters to shut the hell up, they don't. They keep yacking on and on when I bet they didn't even listen to it. Now, let's actually get to the REVIEWING, shall we?

1. DOYS/LFY: Brilliant. Funny opening, brilliant middle, nice ending. When I eventually heard the original DOYS, it scared me that the original music sounds similiar to the main riff of LFY.
2. BP/P: Okay...
3. JW/F: Too much of F, if you ask me. By the end, I forgot that I was listening to JW/F, and thought it was just F.
4. N/E: Classic. Best on the CD.
5. I/ITE: Ugh. Hate it. Worst on the CD. Izzo would actually sound okay on top of ITE, in my opinion.
6. POA/99P/OSC: The thought of having two LP versus one JZ seems difficult, but they pulled it off spectacularly. With Mike Shinoda doing the first verse, said Mike conversing with JZ in the second verse, and the other guy launching in with SHUT UP near the end, this song is as good as N/E.

In closing, this album is a good buy. And for all you whining reviewing morons who don't like JZ/LP/rap in general/rock in general/the concept of mash-up, please stick your tongue in the electrical socket.Or, more ironically, I force you to buy this CD, then stab yourself with the case.

Free Music Review: A Collaboration Between Cultures that Sounds Phenomenal
Hit: 5 Stars

If you hate rock music, don't buy this album. If you hate rap music, don't buy this album. If you are open-minded about music and listen to different music genres, you'll love this album. Every song is a great. I just can't get enough of this CD. I have been a so-so Jay-Z fan over the years, and I had heard a few Linkin Park songs that I liked. This album has made me big fan of both. This is the type of music the U.S. Marines probably played in their M1 Abrahams on their way into Baghdad. It gets the adrenaline pumping. The CD only has 6 songs, but the DVD was fantastic and made up for 6 tracks. These artists have talent and it shows. That's why they are at or near the top of the charts consistently. Forget about the naysayers here, because they either hate mainstream music or are blindly in love with their own genre (rap or rock). This fusion of cultures was intriguing, if only a tease. I'd venture to say that with the recent announcement that this album is #1 on Billboard, you'll see a full album collaboration between LP and Jay-Z, with all new material in the future. I can't wait.
