Not only is it one of the coolest, slickest pieces of music I own, it has a fantastic cover. The image is stereoscopic! Relax your eyes like you do for those Magic Eye images and the crowd on the cover has depth, getting further away towards the top. Absolute sonic perfection, I could not even think of one note to add, subtract or change to make this album better.Free Music Review: The best

This is arguably my favourite album. EVERY SONG ON THIS CD IS AMAZING. Whats even better, is that JM Jarre has arranged the songs in order, and they are all connected to each other as if the album was one song, it finishes with the band in the rain song. I have purchased all of Jarre's records over the years, but none has rivaled EQUINOXE, which IMO is one of the greatest albums ever produced. Do you think I'm exaggerating? Purchase the CD, pop it in a superior stereo system, close the door, turn out the lights, lie down and close your eyes, start the music and be prepared to be blown away...Free Music Review: top ten of all time electronica

simply put, one of the greatest, most uplifting cd's of all-time. beautiful, just does not fully describe this disc. it is kind of like when you pray to GOD, and then get feedback from your prayers. i think i have said all that has to be said about this unbelievable work of pure genius. go and experience it for yourself. This is the album that brought me (like the previous writer below) into the electronic music fold. The promise of instrumental synth-pop was realized here, and very few times since. Equinox, and maybe a Vangelis album or two standout amid the insuing Euro-synth-trash that followed and unlimately (tragically) led to knuckle-heads like Yanni.
