Free Music Notes for Mystery White BoyFree Music Review: Jeff Buckley Live = Inspiration Hit: 5 Stars
Mystery White Boy, is an incredible album containing live performances from the tour baring the same name. Songs such as "What Will You Say" and "Mojo Pin" are slow burners that explode into an emotion that not only haunts but inspires you to tap into your own truth. Jeff Buckley's voice was one that could echo all the sentiments that one goes through in a life time but implodes during this hour plus set into startling falsettos and glorious cresendos essentially creating a sound that is nothing more than life itsself. This album is only a testiment to the genuis that is Jeff Buckley.
Free Music Review: I'm an idiot Hit: 5 Stars
I lived in NYC while Jeff Buckley had a weekly gig at a club that fit like 50 people or something, and I never went. What an idiot.
Mystery White Boy is a great introduction to Jeff Buckley as the complete musician, not just the guy who sings ballads. The first time I heard What Will You Say, it blew my mind and woke me up to how truly incredible Buckley really was. The guy could go from making chicks cry with Hallelujah to making dudes mosh with his rockout version of Eternal Life.
This album is amazing, and only people who write in ALL CAPS don't like it.
Free Music Review: Outstanding Hit: 5 Stars
Your first mistake is turning to Amazon reviews to decide whether or not you should buy one of Jeff Buckleys LIVE CDs!! I had to share this CD with my sister, who happened to introduce me to Jeff Buckley and we both agree that there are no complaints on this compilation. If you've never heard Jeff Buckley...you will only appreciate this CD if you absolutely love music, seeing as its live and its only perfect in the sense that it was performed for a live audience. Hopefully, youll share the experience.
Free Music Review: I could never give anything less! He is truly missed!!! Hit: 5 Stars
This is the only live cd I would ever recommend. I love everything about this man's music. I am only sorry that I will never be able to see him live. This cd captures only what I could guess, would be an intimate evening with a great musician. JB was one of the few artists in the world that you could truly hear how much he loved music. Not just his own. This cd is sad and wonderful. This is a must buy because who knows how much more they can offer us from his archives.
Free Music Review: transcendental bliss Hit: 5 Stars
lyrically blurring Reed, Whitley, Waits, Farrell, Drake, Cornell, etc...
Vocal capabilities of Freddy Mercury and sonics ranging from a gentle string quartet melody to harmonic mayhem of Hendrix/Zeppelin live (often in the same song)
Shakespearean Tragedy brought to Music.
Very RAW renditions! Somewhat bleak but still an ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL listen if you like music flowing uncut from the soul of the performer
