Free Music Notes for Sketches (For My Sweetheart the Drunk)Free Music Review: Unpolished Hit: 5 Stars
Unfortunately Jeff died before this album could be completed so it doesn't sound as polished as "Grace" but makes it all that more charming. A great accompaniant for "Grace", which I promise will not leave you unsatisfied. The tracks "Everybody Here Wants You" and "Morning Theft" are so honest, it breaks my heart. Jeff's songs are just so full of emotions, you cannot be left untouched. He was one of the most talented musicians/songwriters/vocalists and will be sorely missed.
Free Music Review: It's Not Grace - But What is Really Hit: 5 Stars
Sure it's not the Grace cd and we will never know if it could have been but this is still an amazing cd.
It's absolutely beautiful. However, this cd didn't blow me away from the start but sometimes the best music needs to be mined a few times to find the treasure. His voice is still there and sometimes that's all I need. But there are two or three songs here that match the quality of Grace. Nothing will be Grace but I will take this over half of the crap churned out weekly now.
Free Music Review: A farewell from the dream brother Hit: 5 Stars
The raw, the unfinished, the working, even the experimenting Jeff Buckley, yes, but yet there is so much more to explore on this 2CD-set, showing you maybe another side of Jeff - or - a wider range. Jeff, fallen from the stars, the dreams and the visions of "Grace" to our earth, to life, to love, to pain, to the struggle of a unique artist, writer, performer...to become immortal in his very last recordings, waving us his last goodbye. Sleep becalmed...we will always remember you.
Free Music Review: Sweet and Heady Hit: 5 Stars
What a masterpiece this would have been.Jeff shows us his nrilliant and novel ideas.Although this album was not fully completed it is definitly a great album to listen to . The first disc is just like a studio album with the Grammy nominated "Everybody here wants you" and some other great tunes. The second disc lets you inside the mastermind of jeff showcaing his writing process, novel musicianship, and his sweet and lustrous voice. I love and recommend this album to anyone
Free Music Review: This is as good as music gets Hit: 5 Stars
Seriously, this is as good as music gets. No one I have ever heard has had such a beautiful, powerful, or sensuos voice. All his songs are so intimate and captivating. Clearly, this man was a genius and it is truly our loss that he can not contribute to our lives any longer. His songs are gems. This CD set is impressive in that it is more eclectic than Grace, and incredibly raw. If you are not moved by Buckley's voice and emotional songs, there is no hope for you.
