Free Music Review: Still Rocks!!!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

My father played this for me and my sister in a dark room back in 1978 when I was 11. He played it in a dark room so that we could "imagine". Little did we know he had a hand full of poppers (tiny fire crackers that detinate when thrown against something). Scared the shiznit out of me BUT I loved it!
Years later I found a copy of this and played it for my 8 and 9 year old children (who are now 20 and 21) outside on our deck around sunset. . There was heat lightning way off in the distance. We watched the light show to these tapes. It was like an alien battle in the clouds. It was one of the coolest things EVER!! We still talk about it from time to time with big smiles on our faces.
I have an 8 year old now that LOVES it. When something is this good it stands the test of time.It is an experience you will cherish.

Free Music Review: They're Coming To Take Me Away. Hah! Hah!
Hit: 5 Stars

Okay, this album is not quite like Napoleon XIV's 1966 one hit wonder. The good news: it is SO much better. A stellar group of musicians, and actor legend Richard Burton narrating this remarkable double album makes the Martian invasion of earth so realistic, you really do feel the Martians may be coming for you next!! I initally purchased this double LP years ago only because Moody Blues frontman Justin Hayward had a large part in this project, and his guitar work is immediately recognizable throughout this double album, along with his soaring vocals on two songs. But ALL parties involved here make this work a true classic. This is an incredible recording from 1978 that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat time and time again. My thanks to Jeff Wayne for spearheading this wonderful project!!!!

Free Music Review: War of the Worlds
Hit: 5 Stars

I first heard this album when I was in 8th grade when my science teacher took the last few days of school and played it for us 26 years ago. I've been in love with it ever since! And now, lo these MANY years later, I've pulled out my album again and have enjoyed it with my almost 12 year old son (who has played guitar for 5 years, so can appreciate the music). It's so exciting to hear it again and to "bond" with my son over the wonderful music and story on this album. I love how the music tells the story. Yeah, Richarad Burton's acting was a little cheesy at times, but son and I could listen to the music all day!

I've just ordered the CDs (2, one for me one for him!) and am looking forward to hearing the things on there that I've never heard before! I know it will be worth EVERY penny!

Free Music Review: 30 years later--Still Unbelievably Good
Hit: 5 Stars

Review-wise, there's nothing I can add to what hasn't already been said. But I have a question. Aside from the fact this has been in production for almost 30 years, this is still a big seller, continues to come out in new versions and presentations, has been performed in public under numerous formats (I actually saw it done in the '80s at Hagar Planetarium in San Francisco) is considered by almost everyone who has heard it as something you Have to have, and recently has been turned into a live stage musical--why isn't this considered an "Amazon Essential Recording"?
