Unlike many other female artists of the day who choose to display the range of their voice and not the beauty of the record, Jennifer Paige acts as a siren of song on her debut, delivering honest emotion and vocal prowess on each tune.

Those buying the album expecting to hear many "Crush"-replicas will instead be pleasantly surprised with the lush ballads and lightly organic rockers that grace the eleven-track album. "Questions" and "Sober" both sport guitar-driven instrumentals while "Get To Me" and "Just To Have You" have soaring, anthemic choruses. The sincere and delicate "Always You" (present in a softly remixed dance tune at the closing of the album) is awash in soft and beautiful backing vocals (all performed by Paige herself) that compliment a gorgeous melody (These fantasies they blow my way / Like sirens to a fool / And in the stillness of my soul / I keep returning to / Always You). The bluesy "Busted" has a mild rock as the album swings into its strongest ballads. "Between You and Me" and "Let It Rain" contain stellar vocal delivery that are a true testament to Paige's incomparable talent as a songstress. "Somewhere, Someday" finishes the album with uplifting inspiration and backing vocals provided by a choir- a satisfying finish to an impressive debut.
