I've read a couple of reviews making references to Selena and how only the cumbia versions of the songs "Entre el Delirio y la Locura" and others make the album worth buying or listening to. In reality, this album has had the success it's enjoyed BECAUSE of the 'pop-ballad' versions of these songs. If you are not a big fan of country music (which I am not) then you probably won't enjoy the songs as much, although her talent and passion for singing does make the album worth while. As far as comparisons go--who cares if she is or not the next Selena or if Paulina Rubio doesn't have the talent she has (to each his/her own opinion); this is why we have variety in the music industry. Jennifer Pe?a is Jennifer Pe?a, period. She's making her own path. Selena was wonderful, and her music will live on forever. Paulina is also great, she's got a knack for knowing what her fans will appreciate. Each artist has his/her own unique way of making music and reaching fans. Let's respect them in that manner, without being offensive to anyone else.
