Free Music Review: The cover art caught my eye, but I stayed for the tunes

I've been aware of the name Jens Lekman for a couple of years, I guess, but I didn't bother to check out his music until now.
Wow.
I'm staggered by the beauty, charm, and humor in these twelve songs. Not once in fifty minutes does Lekman fail to grab me. One sterling track follows another - it's like listening to a greatest hits collection.
I haven't felt this enamored of a new recording since 1998 when I discovered PLANO by the wonderful indie band The Aluminum Group.
I'd imagine NIGHT FALLS OVER KORTEDALA will grace many a year-end Top 10 list. It will be right at the top of mine.
