Free Music Review: humbled and doing His will

It is so nice to come across an artist who is obedient to what God has given to those with special unique gifts and talents and those who use that gift to serve Him. When that happens, you get someone who is using that gift to best of his ability and what the artist has created comes out to be a wonderful and truly perfect creation. Though I may be biased because I love the man behind the music and what he stands for and believes in.... but my personal favorites are "Give Me Jesus", "Take a Little Time" (love the musical and vocal arrangement on that one!) and "Beyond Measure". I have only listened to it once so far but I am sure the more I will listen to it, I will have more personal favorites. Lyrically, I would say this album is the most mature to date...but I think that is what one would expect when we grow up. I like all of Jeremy's albums but I would say that my all time favorite is still Carried Me: The Worship Project. The reason I am giving this album 5 stars is because of the lyrical content on all the songs, vocal arrangements and my favorite song "Give Me Jesus". (can't get enough of that song and I have played that one over and over!!!)

Jeremy is a man of God, who serves God through his music and continues to stay humbled and grateful for what God has given him. I love that about Jeremy Camp. If you ever get a chance, you definitely need to see him in concert. It will definitely solidify what you read in his lyrics, hear his testimony and hear through his music. I love any song that his wife sings background to so those would be my personal favorites no matter what song is sung. Their voices are blended perfectly and sound absolutely beautiful together. You can tell that is God inspired and God created when they sing together. I must also add that I like "I Am Nothing" (clearly shows his humbleness) and "Give You Glory". I would say that this album is a nice balance of mid-tempo songs, soft ballads, and some stronger hard edge rock songs. So this album gives you a nice blend and balance of all types of songs.

No matter what Jeremy creates, it is made with the best of intentions and it is to serve God and thank Him for what He has been given. I pray that Jeremy continues to create his music for these reasons and if he is does, then rest assured, you will never be disappointed in what Jeremy creates musically.
