Cantrell's degradation trip is pure musical genius. If you are complaining about the crappy music your are being forced to listen to on the radio and on MTV pick up the degredation trip double cd. It is the best 25 bucks i have spend in a long time. You get your money's worth the first time you listen to it. The song 31/32 is the best thing to come along since Alice in chains unplugged. The single cd is still great but if you really want to get the full Cantrell experience pick up the double cd. you will not be dissapionted if you have any musical taste whatsoever.Free Music Review: Brilliant

In these days most bands spewed out of the music that is complete garbage. Jerry Cantrell is definitley one of the few artist that is writting quality music. There is a lot feeling in this album and on top of that every instrument is perfect and the riffs are truley unique. As always cantrell's vocal harmonies are amazing. Thank god someone is still rocking. This album is a must have for anyone who appreciates good music. Even if you have degridation trip- I higly recommened purchasing Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 because you are missing out on a some great tracks.Free Music Review: Welcome Back Jerry!

If you're a fan of Alice In Chains, consider "Degradation Trip" a collection of 25 lost recordings that have finally seen the light. But that assessment is also unfair because Cantrell's style has progressed beyond what Alice ever did. The instrumental, "Hurts, Don't It?," is a perfect example of how his style has changed. Compared to his previous work, it would be like taking the depth of "Jar of Flies" and marrying it to the heaviness of "Dirt." If you're a fan of grunge and/or heavy metal, "Degradation Trip: Volumes 1 & 2" is highly recommended.Free Music Review: New Songs just as good if not better

A 2 disc release that includes all the songs from the original release of Degredation Trip. None of the new songs let me down wich is hard to imagine after how much I enjoyed the first release. with the song Pig Charmer he indeed saved the best for the 2 disk set this is an instant classic in my book and will probably not leave my CD player for a long time. Jerry Cantrell has proven he can produce great music even out of the shadow of his former band Alice in Chains. best rock/metal album of the year easily.

Jerry Cantrell is clearly the man. This is an amazing musical work, every bit as good as Alice in Chains (the best of the Grunge bands, in my opinion). If you're a fan of Alice you must own the record. If you love good rock, you must own this record. Cherish it. There is not a bad song here, there's not even a marginal song here. Some are absolute classics. Anger Rising is wonderful, as is Spiderbite, Pig Charmer and Bargain Basement Howard Hughes. There are other diamonds here, and no rough whatsoever!
