This is a very good collection of Herman's songs, with some swell performances--Lisa Kirk, an old pro, is given a lot of good stuff to do, and really goes to town--BUT--this disc is not indexed i.e. it is all ONE CUT, so to find any specific songs, you have to fast-forward thru the entire disc. Not user friendly! Herman plays piano (very nicely) on all cuts, and introduces material [and sings some]. If you like Herman, these are good interpretations of the songs; but you'll hate not having it indexed; so 3 stars instead of 5. For some of the best versions ever, listen to the great KAREN MORROW on the cd "RAINBOW AND STARS: AN EVENING WITH JERRY HERMAN." An Evening With Jerry Herman, Lee Roy Reams and Karen Morrow
