I saw this show in San Francisco. I really didn't want to go. I grew up listening to the four seasons and I really didn't think that I would be interested in a whole show about their music. I was wrong. I LOVED IT. I went back a second time. I bought the record. There is a reason they won so many tony awards! The record does a great job of bringing you into the story of the show yet showcases the outstanding music and wonderful voices. I bought this CD after seeing the show on Broadway. It is the perfect way to remember a wonderful night in the theater. If you haven't seen the show yet, don't worry -- there is enough dialogue mixed in with the songs to give you a decent idea of the story. You will certainly want to see the show when the touring company comes around! And even for those who are not theater-goers, the music is fun and will have you singing along to all of the chart-topping tunes of the Four Seasons.Free Music Review: Jersey Boys - Very Enjoyable!!

I grew up with Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons music in the Sixties and I have to say Jersey Boys took me back to those wonderful formulative years with their music and often funny dialogue interspersed throughout the musical tracks! These four young men do extreme justice and tribute to those other four young men from Jersey! I can only hope that they make a video of this play for those of us who can't get out to see it! I saw the "Jersey Boys" on Broadway November 12. It is an outstanding evening of entertainment that deserves the rave reviews it is getting.
The cast album is very strong. Bob Gaudio (one of the original Four Seasons) produced it and it is faithful to the Seasons' sound. There is enough dialog for someone who has not seen the show to follow the thread of what is going on onstage. One caution to parents: The F-word is spoken twice, so be aware.

My wife and daughter didn't know about the Four Seasons but I did. When I told them I wanted to see the musical on stage, there was no interest so I bought this product and they heard it in the car. We went to the stage musical soon after and we have listened to the entire disk so many times I've lost track. I created a Four Seasons monster in my daughter. She's fifteen and has memorized most of the songs and sings along while we are driving somewhere.
