Free Music Review: a dfiferent side of Jesse Cook
Hit: 5 Stars

Different than his other CDs, more introspective, more feeling.
A good range from the very upbeat "Matisse the Cat" the smooth
"Cafe Mocha", the driving beat of "Havana" to the most tender
feeling guitar solo I have ever heard, "Alone" which I could listen
to endlessly. But that's the quality that describes Jesse's
music, you can never get enough.

Free Music Review: Underrated talent - an act you must see
Hit: 5 Stars

This CD is even better than his previous - especially when you see him perform it live. His magnetism, stage presence, and fellow artists are rich in entertaining culture. Its amazing what he can do to others recordings such as Dylan. Looking forward to many more performances and CD's from Jesse Cook.

Free Music Review: jesse cook
Hit: 5 Stars

music - wonderful music from jesse cook...have seen him live in concert...love his music...great addition to his collection of flamenco

Free Music Review: A very good guitar music CD
Hit: 4 Stars

I have all of Jesse Cook's music (except his Montreal CD which was just a live performance of some of his music). He's a great musician (I also have seen him live, and plan to see him again in July 08). As to the CD, if you have heard his music, you will like the CD. It's a little fast in a couple of songs, and there is some actual singing on one song (Spanish), but mostly it is guitar music with nice background percussion and occasionally some string instruments. He's a innovative musician (with a sense of humor) that has created an easy going, pleasant background music (I pick and choose some of his music for massage background music). In sum, it's an excellent CD, but I will admit I am slightly biased. I'm not sure if I would label his music as adult alternative or new age.

Free Music Review: Acceptable Not Impressive.
Hit: 3 Stars

After listening to the whole album more than 5 times, I have found it to be acceptable not impressive.

On the positive side, this album has the same shade as the first two released by Mr. Cook. I personally liked Rain, Europa, and Alone (3 out of 13).

On the other side, this album contradicts its title "frontiers". No limists were pushed on this album, It should been properly titled "back home".
