Best Songs-
1)"There's More to Me Than You"-This is an upbeat song with an inspiring message that's perfect as an opener to this CD. In this song, Jessica makes it clear that even though she lost a guy, she's okay and will survive. Best lyrics: "I'm not saying I'm battered and bruised/But I might as well be with the words you used/I believed in myself and that makes me stronger..."
5)"I Bring it to You"-This relationship song about love is so beautiful and raw in lyrics and so different from what I originally pictured Jessica singing. However, not only does she pull it off but she also sings it like she wrote it herself! Best lyrics: "All of these stones in my pocket/Daydreams I left on the shore/The jagged half of a locket/I lay it all at your door..."
8)"Sunshine and Love"-This song starts out sounding very much like one of her older songs ("Who I Am") on her 2001 CD but then turns into someting completely unique and much more mature. Though this song does show growth in Jessica's outlook on life and singing ability, it's still light and positive in message. Best lyrics: "'Cause money's only paper, it might buy a lot of stuff/But if money's what you're chasing/You won't ever have enough..."
9)"You're the Man (That Brings the Woman Out of Me)"-This song, both in lyrics and in message itself, IS loaded with cliches, but there's also some good description. Also, there are a few parts that give Jessica a chance to show off her vocals. Best lyrics: "Together we can make it through/Every minute that you're gone is a minute too long/Right here's where you belong..."
13)"Windows on a Train"-This song is much different and more depressing from anything Jessica ever did before, but it's perfect to show off her more mature views on life; the idea behind the song is that she lost somebody that she really cared about. Even if the song really isn't about her, she sings it with so much energy and pain that it's like she did experience it. Best lyrics: "I'm on my way to kneel down with the truth/With my black dress on to say goodbye to you..."
14)"God Don't Give Up On Us"-This song follows in the veins of the song before it, where it's very sad yet showcases her maturity. This one covers many aspects of the world today/world issues and Jessica sings as if she wrote everything herself. Best lyrics: "For every bullet fired for every soul that's lost/Forgive our dark desires and the pain we've caused/Please don't close your eyes to the part of us that's beautiful/Still beautiful..."

Final Recommendations-At first listen even I was surprised at some of what I was hearing, but with this new CD, Jessica proves that you can make good music without profanity and you can grow up by selecting a broad range of topics to sing about instead of growing up by growing out of clothing. Would I recommend this CD? Highly!
