Free Music Review: Jethro Tull At The Top Of Their Game
Hit: 5 Stars

If you're looking for another great Jethro Tull album from the 1970's and you already have Aqualung, this is an excellent choice. Ian Anderson and Martin Barre really hit their stride here, producing an album that doesn't get heard very much but is one of the band's finest. They do an outstanding job of evoking a musically-based emotional experience of what life in the woods might be like, while still retaining that Jethro Tull sound. And they do it with a strong mix of acoustic, folk-based music, and harder driving electric guitar rock. The bonus tracks are a nice plus, and the sound quality is excellent.

Free Music Review: Best damn Tull CD period !
Hit: 5 Stars

I saw Jethro Tull in concert when this ablum was released. I still consider this to have been my All-Time best rock concert ever! Best performance, sound, showmanship. Ian Anderson was awesome. They played 4 or 5 songs off this masterpiece. I ran out and bought the album the next day. I love Aqualung and Benefit, but this will always be my favorite Tull Album. I have the original CD, but now I need to get this remastered version. I work with a lot of gen-x-er's who just don't "get' Tull. Too bad, their loss. PS: This is a "must" have for any Tull fan.

Free Music Review: this band is TIGHT!
Hit: 5 Stars

Here is a recording that both at once makes you feel like you are in the Scottish highlands and at the same time watching a good old garage band that is really hitting their stride together..its both old and new, mellow and heavy(not in a heavy metal sense), and a great example of musicians who play together as ONE unit. Jethro Tull is one of the most unique band of musicians and this is a great start for anyone interested in a listen. Not for the faint of heart...you will either love it or hate it, but you wont deny the quality of the songwriting or musicianship!

Free Music Review: English Folk and Rock
Hit: 5 Stars

This is my all time favorite Tull album, combining the best of their folk music influences with their penchant for solid rock'n'roll. Being a fan of medievel music and Jethro Tull makes this a very strong offering in popular music. The combination of instruments and Ian Anderson's songwriting is so compelling. The mythological and legendary themes running through this recording are a treat for any serious student of Celtic inspired music. Take it, enjoy it and dance around the Maypole with it. This is a great album.

Free Music Review: Classic Tull revisited
Hit: 5 Stars

This is one of the better Tull releases prior to 'Heavy Horses'. Everyone is in fine form here, nothing to fault. This remastered edition shines in terms of clarity/depth. The definition is apparent on every track particularly in the vocal harmonies. Bonus track 'Beltane' from this period and also on the Tull box set is interesting. Second live bonus track 'Velvet Green' is very good, practically note for note. I for one, am glad for the bonus tracks as well as the long-overdue remastering. A must for any Tull fan.
