Free Music Review: Classic Tull revisited
Hit: 5 Stars

This is one of the better Tull releases prior to 'Heavy Horses'. Everyone is in fine form here, nothing to fault. This remastered edition shines in terms of clarity/depth. The definition is apparent on every track particularly in the vocal harmonies. Bonus track 'Beltane' from this period and also on the Tull box set is interesting. Second live bonus track 'Velvet Green' is very good, practically note for note. I for one, am glad for the bonus tracks as well as the long-overdue remastering. A must for any Tull fan.

Free Music Review: One Of Tull's Best
Hit: 5 Stars

Many people make a case for this as Tull's best. You know, I can understand why too. Mixing the folk higher than the rock and Ian gets kind of goofy; light hearted, I mean. However, the song has some of the best arrangments of any Tull album. Thanks Mr. Palmer for his keyboards, and orchestral arranging abilities. Thanks the fact that Ian was at the top of his game. Thank your mother for buying you this album. Buy it. Buy it many times.

Free Music Review: Another classic album
Hit: 5 Stars

Jethro Tull has done so many classic albums over the years, one runs out of adjectives to describe them. This is a great album, partially inspired by Ian Anderson's decision in the mid 70's to move to the English countryside. My favorite songs here are the title track, Ring Out Solstice Bells, Pibroch, and Velvet Green. The bonus tracks are nice too (though nothing we haven't heard already on the classic 20 Years Of Jethro Tull boxset).

Free Music Review: Songs from the Wood - a great album
Hit: 5 Stars

Jethro Tull "Songs from the Wood" is one of my all time favorite albums.
It is a great mix of true rock liberally stirred into ancient Celtic folk music. The classic guitar and rock and roll flute mix beautifully with dulcimers, mandolins and a host of other instruments. The lyrics are interesting and entertaining as well. What's not to like?

I can listen over and over and never get tired of it.
