I have many Christmas CDs and this is probably my favorite. I'm not that big of a fan of instrumental music, but the first time I heard this CD I knew there was something special about it. The arrangements are both soothing and contemporary. Sprinkled in are wonderful vocal selections from Kenny Loggins, Susan Ashton and Point of Grace. Every Christmas I try to think of someone I know who doesn't have it so I can give it to them. I have never been disappointed in a Jim Brickman CD purchase and "The Gift" is certainly no different. When I found the CD, I simply knew it would be wonderful. How right I was! This man is a genius with the piano and his renditions of holiday favorites as well as his own compositions create a perfect blend. It is soothing, peaceful and perfect for the holidays. This is yet another masterpiece by the sensational artist we have all grown to enjoy. This album is perfect to set the holiday mood. A wonderful composer plays the memorable songs we all grew up with. It is even better listening to it with Brandy. This CD is the greatest compilation of Christmas music that I've heard in a long time. My favorite, "Hope Is Born Again" sung by the Contemporary Christian group "Point of Grace" really brings back the true meaning of Christmas. What a memorable sound for Brickman! His music is the best!
