Free Music Review: Future great
Hit: 5 Stars

Jim does something that I believe is important to a succesful career, does something different. He has the advantage Seinfeld had by reling on everyday life for material and putes his own unique twist on it. Jim uses something that is a mixture of his inner voice and what the croud must be thinking to make fun of his jokes which some people may find a bit anoying at times but near the end uses it a bit less in the last three bits about religion(which isn't offensive,I am a christian and wasn't offended) and his holiday bit, both which are really funny. His hot pocket bit, which I personaly thought was okay and not histerical, Does pay off in the long run even if you didn't find it funny because of his cries of Hooooot Pockets in a high pitch voice which is funny. Gaffigan stays clean and only for the briefest moments gets only remotly dirty (he even points out this fact and weins himself off it) Over all Gaffigan his good for laughs and replay value at a low price and I highly recomend this album for any comic fan or someone who likes to laugh.

Free Music Review: Clearly Amusing
Hit: 5 Stars

I purchased Gaffigan's Doing My Time a few years back and found that not only was it hilarious, but it also withstood many, many repeat listens, a HUGE plus for comedy albums like these. BEYOND THE PALE, although it features some of the same routines (most notably Jim's famous Hoooot Pocket! bit), is still just as delightful. Jim, goofily acerbic as always, spends most of his time talking about cake and religion, but his habit of self-deprecation (part of his bits always include asides by an anonymous audience member) keeps the act from ever sounding too mean. Combine that with his slide whistle delivery (I don't know how else to describe the tone of voice he uses for the punch lines of most of his jokes), and you have a clown that may sport a frown and a white-white face, but which never ceases to amuse.

Free Music Review: Jim Gaffigan: A true Prince of Comedy
Hit: 5 Stars

I met Jim in Saint Peterburg, FL, several years ago, and he is one of the most gentle souls in comedy. His act combines sarcasm with self-deprecation and even a little multiple-personality disorder thrown in for good measure (he constantly reviews his act while he's doing it in the voice of a bewildered audience member) and it is simply hilarious. He's just a big goofy doofus with a genius IQ and the ability to find the humor in just about any situation.

If you've never heard Jim, do yourself a favor and buy this CD. It's a gem. Even better, listen for his appearances on Opie and Anthony on XM Radio Channel 202. Unlike some comics that can only work off their material, Jim is funny when he's just having a conversation and his XM appearances are radio gold.

Free Music Review: Jim Gaffigan-Beyond the Pale
Hit: 5 Stars

Beyond the Pale is the latest album from comedian Jim Gaffigan. Jim Gaffigan is a lesser known, but now gaining fame due to the show My Boys and appearences on Comedy Central, comedian who has to be one of the most talted in the field to emerge in a long time. Gaffigan combines dry wit, with a slightly more absurd comedic style in his act. He is also known for giving his own running comentary on his act in a softer voice, often from the viewpoint of an audience member. Overall, this album features some of the funniest comedy to come along in a while and is truely worth picking up for anyone who enjoys intelligent comedy, with a bit an absurd twist.

Free Music Review: You won't get sick of this CD
Hit: 5 Stars

I hadn't heard much of Jim Gaffigan's stand up before getting this comedy CD so I was pleasantly surprised after listening to it. This CD is genius! I've listened to it dozens of times and I've never gotten tired of it. I put it on when I have a long, annoying drive somewhere. It has kept me alert and happy while driving. I have given this CD to several of my friends and they loved it. Jim Gaffigan's brilliance is in the way he contorts his voice throughout his act in order to impersonate different characters. One reviewer said that his voice was annoying--are you kidding me? It's the best part of his act!
