Free Music Review: The pale one: Eater of generic cereals, Hot Pockets, and other delicacies

After seeing Gaffigan's recent special, my brother went through a period where he couldn't stop quoting the hot pocket bit. I remembered hearing the joke before on an earlier special but I couldn't remember the name of the comedian. Once he told me who it was I decided to give this CD a listen.
Gaffigan is funnier than I originally gave him credit for. He talks a little too much about food on here (something his "inner voice" acknowledges along with other potential flaws in his act), but for the most part I thought he was very funny. He comes across as a down to earth guy who doesn't seem to have an inflating ego like other successful commedians i.e. Dane Cook.
His closing bit on religion rivals the hot pocket bit in terms of hilarity, however the drawn out food bit and the overuse of his "inner voice", the biggest strength and weakness in Jim's comedy, keep this from a five star rating. However it's still very funny.

Bought this for my husband, but have to tell ya, that Jim is hilarious. I was laughing almost throughout this c.d. His, "Hot Pockets" skit alone is worth the price of the c.d. I also enjoyed how he does his, "what the audience is thinking" part ( he says what he thinks some mild mannered librarian/granny/whomever is thinking when he does his comedy act ). If you're not a fan, it may be better to rent this ( go to the library, for 50 cents you can hear it ), but if you're a fan, you will laugh again and again.Free Music Review: jim does it again

for all of you who missed it, this was done live on comedy central about a week and a half ago. i watched it, and it was extremely funny, except bits were cut out for editing, and language and all of that. the only reason i gave it 4 was because its a lot of the same material, even though its always funny. this is definitely worth picking up. jim gaffigan is one of the funniest guys out there right now, and this cd will pretty much prove it.Free Music Review: laugh everytime

this is my most favorite out of all of jim gaffigan's works. to hear it in the car or just need a good laugh, this is it. it be better if you can see how he does his acts but when you need something on the go, this will pass. even better on your ipod.Free Music Review: hilarious

I thought this CD was great. He talks about food a lot but it's still funny. Frankly, i thought....BETTER than the last Dane Cook cd i bought. It's only an hour though, i wish it was longer.
