Free Music Review: One Of The Best Comedians Out There

This is one of those things you throw on when you need to come out of a funk; Always funny no matter how much you hear the material. I am not huge on most comedy albums, but to hear Jim ramble on about hot pockets and being lazy is a pure joy. From guys drinking KFC gravy to his umbrella theory, this CD is packed wall to wall with great, fresh material. While not for everyone(he has a style you either like or you don't...), those unfamiliar w/him should check it out...Plus the bonus DVD of his first Comedy Central concert and other stand up routines is priceless. A great deal too! Pretty much timeless material. I could relate to much of what he was talking about. This was a plesent suprise a couple of years ago when I caught part of his act on Comedy Central, then I heard the CD at a local CD store, and happend to hear the Hot Pocket Skit, and I bought the CD on the spot. I have been guitly of the Hot Pocket purchase. Always sound like a great Idea for a quick snack/lunch, but can be exactly as described by Jim Gaffigan. His newer CD, Beyond the Pale, has The Hot Pocket skit on there as well, but this is the longer edition and original. Also, this is a set with CD and DVD. Both CD's Are great and have new different material on each, but If you have to buy one, this one would be the first one to pick up. I first discovered Jim Gaffigan last month while watching him on Conan O'Brien. I've been living in England as US military so I'm not up to date and don't get comedy central. I was laughing so much about a routine he was doing about cake. I decided to buy the CD and when I first got it, I made the mistake of listening to it in the car for the first time. I just received my copy of this album a few days ago and it is really awesome. I was only a little dissapointed, because I thought the DVD also contianed the audio recording from the CD on video. It would have been cool to have that, but oh well. The DVD conatins his half hour comedy central special and 2 short 7 minutes clips of him at a comedy club.Free Music Review: VERY Funny!

I wasn't really familiar with Jim Gaffigan when I made this purchase. The reviews were right on. This guy is very funny while keeping it relatively clean. Very talented. It appeared as if there was only an audio CD included with the purchase but to my surprise, there was also a DVD.
