Free Music Notes for Experience Hendrix: The Best Of Jimi Hendrix

Free Music Review: Get Experienced!
Hit: 5 Stars

Jimi Hendrix forever changed the face of rock n roll his music was truely amazing. Hendrix did more things on guitar in a short 4 year career that most guitarist could not do in 20 years. He is the best guitarist, and shall ever remain the best. Not one single person in 30+ years has toped Jimi Hendrix. Jimi Hendrix was the man to get me into playing the electric guitar now he got me experienced, and I have a band all thanks to Jimi Hendrix. Experience Hendrix will get you turned on to Jimi Hendrix's music. This greatest hits compilation includes all of the hits like Purple Haze, Foxy Lady, and Hey Joe. Also songs from Axis Bold As Love like Spanish Castle Magic, Little Wing, and Bold As Love.

Then their is the songs from the masterpiece that changed the face of rock n roll Electric Ladyland.....Songs like All Along The Watchtower, Crosstown Traffic, and Voodoo Child(Slight Return). So far this includes all of the three complete studio albums Are You Experienced, Axis Bold As Love, and Electric Ladyland. Then their is the songs most people have never heard like Dolly Dagger, and Freedom from First Rays Of The New Rising Sun Hendrix's last album that was uncomplete when he died. Then their is also the Star Spangled Banner performed Live at Woodstock.

This album covers all of hendrix's known greatest hits that everybody loves. I recomend this to all of the early hendrix listeners this one is for you. I do think their should have been some songs added to this including Machine Gun a highlight from Hendrix's career he performed at the new year of 1970. But wait their is more Jimi Hendrix albums that are either rare studio work or live like South Sentra Delta, BBC Sessions, and The Band Of Gypsy's. Once again BUY THIS~Highly Recomened!

Free Music Review: Musical Genius, not to mention a GOD
Hit: 5 Stars

Jimi Hendrix lived a short life, but if that can be resolved in anyway, it's that he produced some of the best music I have heard in my young life. People always seem amazed that me, a teenage girl, would listen to this kind of music. I myslef don't know why I love it, I just do. My parents never listened to Jimi, saying he's too loud and repetitive, but they obviously never listened for more than a song and a half. I just recently got into Jimi Hendrix, and I can say that this has probably been one of the most inspiring choices I've ever made. Jimi's music has opened my eyes, not only towards the world itself, but also the world of music. His song "Castles Made Of Sand" inspired me to start playing guitar, and now I can play that and "Purple Haze". This album itself is great, with many of my favourite songs, including "Voodoo Child" (I hate it when people call it Voodoo Chile!) and "Crosstown Traffic", and of course that Hendrix classic "All Along The Watchtower". It disappoints me that there is only one "best of" album, for he had many more good songs. But by far the most disappointing thing, (which has nothing to do with quality), is that not enough people are listening to this lyrical genius. People are too stuck up in the pop music and rap images to even care about quality. Half the people in my school have never even heard of AC/DC, let alone Jimi Hendrix! I just want to say that this cd is great, and that everyone should at least try Jimi Hendrix once, just once. Try him, you might love it, just like I did. And remember, Jimi Hendrix was and always WILL be a God, in his own right.

Free Music Review: GREAT PRICE FOR A GREAT CD
Hit: 5 Stars

When I first put this cd in my cd player I expected to hear awesome guitar solos because of all the people that say Hendrix is the #1 best guitarist of all time. I think Jimmy Page is the best but Hendrix ain't far behind. Hendrix guitar playing is great to listen too any time. His guitar solos are something everyone should experience. They are played really well and are the best on this cd. Even the drumming is great. Mitch Mitchell really playes the drums loud and fast. The best songs on the album are "Purple Haze" which is one of my favorite songs. "All Along the Watchtower" is another great one and almost as good as "Purple Haze". One of the best guitar solo songs on this album is "Star Spangled Banner". All it is is a guitar solo. All 20 tracks are great and will keep you playing this cd for a long time.

Free Music Review: Not a greatest hits album, but still great music
Hit: 5 Stars

Man, what can you say about Jimi that has not already been said. He's been called a genius, an insane lunatic, and he's been called the greatest guitarist ever to play by Pete Townshend, Jimmy Page, and many others. He could hit more notes per second that anybody else. Hendrix was the only guy that I knew of that could that could be playin', miss a note, keep playin' and make something absolutly beautiful.

Despite all of what I just said, Hendrix only managed to get one hit in the states, a cover version of Bob Dylan's "All Along the watchtower" off of his "Electric Ladyland" album which went to #20 on Billboards Pop Singles Chart in 1968. I don't know if one day people woke up, heard "Hey Joe" playin' and said to themslves "man, we f***** up on this guy cause he was something special." I don't know if that's what happened because I always liked him. But anyway, Hendrix is now liked by just about every fan of classic rock and this CD has his most well-known music and some you don't hear that often. You can hear "Purple Haze", "Foxey Lady", "Hey Joe" on just about any classic rock station in America, so that had to be on here. But this CD contains some great songs that you don't hear alot. "Manic Depression", "If 6 was 9", "Stone Free" are all great songs that showcase some of Jimi's greatest guitar work and every one of them is on this album. The only song that is missing is "Hear My Train Comin." That is one of my favorites and I think that it should be here, but other than that, this is a wonderful CD that I would suggest to any fan of great rock.

Free Music Review: this is a killer cd
Hit: 5 Stars

I bought this cd about one or two years ago.I started getting into hendrix about 9th grade about 3 years ago when one of my friends sayed you gotta listen to this and played "purple haze" and I didnt really dig it that much I just overlooked it.After I heard it like 4 or 5 more times and like 6 months had passed before my buddy first played hendrix and it just clicked like omg this guitar playin is awesome.

So if you listen to it once and say "well its not my thing" I thought the same thing and it just hit me one day listening to his song. He's been my favorite guitarist and songwriter since ,well him and kurt cobain.I started playing guitar back like 3 and a half years ago and just playing hendrix songs are so awesome.Alot of people say "why are you into hendrix?" cause im young ,and I don't know.

The music is just so ahead of it's time and just makes me look at music completely different.Like back in the 60's the music he played was lightyears ahead of what was goin on then.I can't just imagine what kind of music he wouldve made if he was alive today.

I would say my favorite song and this is hard cause really all of his songs are my favorite but I would say "little wing" and "castles made of sand".I know how to play both those songs and its so awesome just recrating masterpeices like that on my guitar. If you haven't heard of hendrix this is the cd to get.Im serious if you really haven't heard of him or really just dont wanna pay the money to buy his cd believe me get off your hiney and go get this cd.
