In the 60's I wasn't into the Jimi Hendrix Experience, I thought it was too hard and mixed too busy, not enough Stereo sparation.A couple of years ago I walked into a record store and the new CD was playing, it blew me away, I could'nt believe it was Jimi. His father has regained rights to the music and has re-mastered and re-releasaed it all. It is Incredible, you can hear every instrument, the vocal track. It is so clear that Jimi literally jumps out of the speakers at you. The tracks are Jimi's biggest, they speak for themselves, but It does include "Redhouse". Be sure and look for the Jimi logo on the backcover, to garuantee you are getting the re-mastered series. and be ready for a true "Jimi Hendrix Experience"...."Rock On"

Free Music Review: Great Cd and Better than "Smash Hits"

The first Jimi Hendricks' cd I baught was "Are You Experienced?" The second one I baught was one called "Smash Hits." Like "Smash Hits" this is a compilation cd of Jimi Hendrics' work. In my opinion however, this is better than "Smash Hits." The main reason is that this cd has more variety. Most of the songs on "Smash Hits" are from "Are You Experienced?" All of the songs on this cd are great. My personal favorite is "Voodoo Child (slight Return)." The Woodstock version of the "Star-spangled Banner" is pretty cool as well. If your new to Hendricks, this is a great cd to get. The cd's great, and the songs are all great. I JUST WOULD LIKE TO EXPLAIN MY TITLE:I REALLY LOVE JIMI HENDRIX, YOU KNOW HE DID THINGS ON THE GUITAR LIKE NOBODY, THE SONGS ARE SO EXCELLENT, for example PURPLE HAZE, LITTLE WING..., he had that special guitar sound, that it's almost imposible to hear it again, BUT when it comes to say who's the greatest guitar player of all-time, I REALLY MEAN THE BEST OF THE BEST, I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT ABOVE JIMI, ONLY SIR ERIC PATRICK CLAPTON.MY PROOF: THE E.C. DOUBLE LIVE LP "JUST ONE NIGHT" AND THE 1966 ALBUM "JOHN MAYALL BLUES BREAKERS WITH ERIC CLAPTON" OR FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WOULD LIKE TO HEAR AN EVEN BETTER VERSION OF LITTLE WING, try the album LAYLA AND OTHER ASSORTED LOVE SONGS.

Free Music Review: the essential henrix all in one cd

Normally, I don't support the idea of people putting out greatest hits cds, especially when people do it for a late artist who might not have agreed to the concept had they been alive. However, for people on a limited budget who can only have one Jimi Hendrix cd this is the one for you. Every major song he did is here covering Jimi as the best rocker of the 60s and Jimi as an above-average bluesman. It seems that all of the greatest hit cds coming out (flooding the market actually) from Hendrix are always missing something. I was pleasantly surprised here. If you're looking for purple haze, all along the watchtower, voodoo child, and the star-spangled banner and you want it all on one cd, then this is for you.
