Free Music Review: The Nautical Theme Kicks In Here
Hit: 5 Stars

On A-1-A, Jimmy Buffett begins his exploration of the seafaring theme that would become his stock in trade. The songs "A Pirate Looks At Forty", "Trying To Reason With Hurricane Season". and "Nautical Wheelers" indicate that he'd recently relocated from Nashville to Florida, and the breezy atmosphere of his adopted state pervades this entire CD. This is an album you should pick up if you can find it.

Free Music Review: Danger, danger!
Hit: 5 Stars

Warning! This CD could be hazardous to your job! I happened to buy this CD right before a recent trip to the beach. I returned from my trip wanting to grow my hair long, live on the beach, play guitar and drink margaritas. I still haven't gotten over it.

Any collection of Buffett's original works should contain this CD and the "Changes in Lattitudes" CD. The best Buffett ever!

Free Music Review: Simply Classic
Hit: 5 Stars

This album is one of Buffett's classics. Tracks 1-8 are timeless & just great. Dallas, Migration, Door Number 3 & Life is a tire swing are little talked about but great songs & personal favorites. The last 3 tracks are more mellow & drag on just a little bit, but even out the album. A must have for any Buffett fan or even any person who appreciates great music!!

Free Music Review: The soul of Buffett music
Hit: 5 Stars

The best of Buffett is spread out among over 30 albums but this is the soul of his music, the roots to which old-time Parrotheads turn for the beauty of "Hurricane Season" or the escape of "Migration". It is also the source to which novice Parrotheads can turn to discover that Buffett's best didn't begin with "Margaritaville".

Free Music Review: A Desert Island Recording
Hit: 5 Stars

Give me my choice of 15 recordings while I am stranded on an island and this is one of the first 7. A heavy influence of Country Music is apparent and boy does it sound good. Migration is my personal favorite but Nautical Wheelers, Door Number 3, Life Is Just A Tire Swing, and A Pirate Looks At Forty are all excellent. Not a bad song in the lot.
