Free Music Notes for Barometer SoupFree Music Review: Favorite Album of Buffett Hit: 5 Stars
This is my favorite CD in my Buffett collection, and I'm very glad that CDs don't wear out easily-otherwise I'd have to have several copies! "Bank of Bad Habits" and "Lage Nom-Ai" are my top picks out of this album. All of the songs are great to listen to and maybe sing along. "Fruitcakes" was my first Buffett album; I got my copy from a fellow Parrothead as a birthday present. If you're a Parrothead or just like good music, buy this.
Free Music Review: One of Buffett's Best! Hit: 5 Stars
As a long-time Parrothead, I actually ricked my neck in the middle of a huge storm and hurricane warning to go out and buy Barometer Soup the day it was released. It was worth it!This CD is full of fun sing-a-long songs like "Lage Nom Ai" and "Don't-Chu Know" as well as classic Buffett tearjerknig ballads such as "Remittance Man" Any and every Parrothead who doesn't have this CD in their collection Needs it!
Free Music Review: Best Buffett CD Hit: 5 Stars
This is my favorite Buffett CD in my collection and I have most of his CD's. I play this one regularly. After I heard Jimmy do Barefood Children In The Rain live at last years show, it has become my favorite song. I guess the fact that I have a 6 month old ParrokeetHead doesn't hurt. He loves that song as well. This is one of 5 CD's in my 5 disk CD player right now. I'll never get tired of listening to this CD.
Free Music Review: Best CD I own Hit: 5 Stars
Jimmy pulls out all the stops on this one. He shows off his wide range of styles - from reggae to Ol' Blue Eyes. He ends the album with his rendition of Mexico, which will knock your socks off. He does it better that James Taylor did. Also, the liner notes read like a Mark Twain novel. All in all, it's good for "lazin' on a sunny afternoon."
Free Music Review: A Must-Have ! Hit: 5 Stars
In the harbor of Avalon, in the early evening, you can hear the faint music of Jimmy Buffett floating through and around the boats. In most cases, the music tends to come from this CD. Barometer Soup, Lage Nom Ai, Don't Chu-Know, and Mexico are popular dancing tunes here. Thank you Jimmy, for so adequately portraying the island life in your music.
