Free Music Notes for Barometer SoupFree Music Review: STILL Buffett's Best Hit: 5 Stars
Jimmy's had several albums out since Barometer Soup, and while they're all great, he hasn't topped this one yet. As the other reviews mention, this album just flows with that intoxicating carribbean sound; you can listen to it over and over without ever tiring of it. It ranks with me as his #1 album, up there with "Off to See the Lizard".
Free Music Review: You Want This CD! Hit: 5 Stars
If CD's could wear out from too much play this one would be worn out in my house. I love this CD and every song is outstanding. I could listen to this anytime of the year but I especailly love it in the winter becuase it takes me away to a tropical island. Jimmy rocks and this CD is a must have if you claim to be even a slight Buffett fan.
Free Music Review: The need to be Barefoot! Hit: 5 Stars
We have had this CD for years and still can't get enough. We just had the chance to move back to the beach and we are loving it!! Jimmy has given us years of great music and it's nice to know that I'm not the only one with "A carribean soul I can bearly control and a little bit of Texas here in my heart". Thanks Jimmy.
Free Music Review: My second favorite Buffett, and I am a parrothead. Hit: 5 Stars
I cannot believe no one has reviewed this album yet. Fruitcakes is my absolute favorite, but this is the second best. When I'm on vacation, I walk on the beach at 6:00 a.m. and sing Jimmy Dreams out loud. Then when I'm not on vacation, I sing it and think about the beach! Parrotheads everywhere, buy this CD. You will LOVE it.
Free Music Review: His best single album effort? Hit: 5 Stars
Barometer Soup is, by far, Buffett's best work of the 90s and possibly his entire career. It rivals Volcano or Coconut Telegraph in terms of complete albums. From "Bank of Bad Habits" to his cover of "Mexico," this album is just perfect for popping in the CD player and hitting the repeat button all day.
