Jimmy, yoiu scamp. You're back and as brilliant as ever. Okay, the songs aren't the party animal type about margarita's or fins or cheeseburgers, but your genius has shown again. This is the new, mellower, serious Jimmy and I LOVED IT! "All The Ways I Want You" is a beautiful song as are "Tonight I just Need My Guitar" and "Savannnah Fare You Well." And just to keep in touch with his zany past you gave us "Zydecoldsmobile" and "What if the Hokey Pokey is Really What It's All About." A very pleasing set of tunes Mr. Buffett. This album exceeded my expectations! Far Side is an absolutely amazing album... Don't listen to what that guy said who gave the one star, he's not a true Parrot Head. This Album is great, I love it... If you take my advice and dont like it, a 1000 apologies, but I am sure you will be happy to add it to your collection. When Buffett teams up with Sonny Landreth on the cover of his song "USS Zydecoldsmobile" you cant help but want to dance.... Mademoiselle (Voulez Vous Danser) is another amazing track, along with the title track "Far Side of the World"BUY THIS Music Review: Cannot Get Enough......
Hit: 5 Stars I simply cannot get enough of this CD. Seldom am I so captivated by a musical offering from any artist. As a several decade Buffett fan and native Floridian/sailor/surfer, I like all of Jimmy's music..just some more than other. But this one..wow..Blue Guitar, Savannah Fare You Well (THE BEST), All The Ways I Want You, Far Side of the World, Tonight I Just Need My Guitar, I hardly know what to say. It's captivating, thought provoking, wonderful stuff. The CD cover should get an award. I'd love a large poster of it to frame and hang in my office. This is not to be missed.

I thought I'd get that out of the way, just so you know where my bias is. Jimmy Buffett puts out about an album a year, tours and makes tons of money, but hasn't had a Top 10 hit since "Margaritaville". No matter, he always produces a listenable album, one that grows on you the more you play it. Not all of the songs are my all time favorites, but they are alway enjoyable to listen to and he doesn't beat you over the head with his beliefs or about how he's a tortured artist. He seems like he's having fun and that makes it so much more pleasurable to listen to.Free Music Review: what's not to love?

Before I begin I must tell you that I just saw the Far Side of the World concert, last nite and saw the BEST BUFFETT CONCERT EVER!! He rocked Miami with songs I haven't heard live in Years!The new album is awesome with a sound from all his world travels.
Not typical Buffett, as some might think, but what is typical Buffett? He runs the gamit of Country, New Orlean's Blues, Salsa, Caribean Soul. It's a sample of everything he is and as always the soul of Buffett's music is the lyrics. Words and thoughts to live by from my favorite poet, Jimmy Buffett.
