My wife is the "woman to blame" - she is the one that got me started listening to Buffett. We have many of his CDs, but there is nothing like hearing him live in concert. We have numerous other live CDs and DVDs. I have to say that this is the best live version due to the high audio quality. It truly sounds like you are there close to him on stage. The acoustics are the best sounding from all of his live releases. If you had to choose between any of the live versions, this would be it. The price is also great considering you get 2 CDs and a DVD. The songs he plays are oldies, but some are ones he hasn't played for a long time. Few Parrotheads were situated to afford the last minute trip to Anguilla last year between when this concert was announced an scheduled. One attendee announces on the DVD that he quit his job to attend. Having now seen how beautiful the island is on the video and how great Jimmy, the band and Bankie Banks performed, I wish I had as well...
But, this DVD & CD collection at this price? Jimmy knows most of his fans couldn't even consider the island hopping trip. So, he delivered the memories at an irrestible price. This colection arrived from Mailboat Records the day it was schedule for release and I've been playing it since.

I have hundreds of Buffett songs on CD, MP3, and DVD. I must say this one is by FAR the best. The sound quality of the recording is unbelievable. The DVD made me feel like I was back at Gillette Stadium in Sept. At the time I recieved this we had a death in the family and afterwards folks came to my home for a post funeral gathering. Everyone was understandably sad so just for the heck of it I put the DVD on on my 53" TV with surround stereo. We were lucky to get to Anguilla for the show and enjoyed the smaller crowd and music set. The Cds and DVD have a great sound and captures the event nicely - but with even better balance than the Dunes venue. Great song list of standards with some rarities in the mix, make this a great collection of the Buffett live performance in a setting that is right in character with his persona. A must for all Parrotheads who have island dreams with sailing themes. And, it was a charity concert too to give local kids guitars through Bankie Banx. The two CDs are good with some songs not previously recorded live and some really nice versions of Buffet favorites. But what makes this a "must have" for parrotheads is the DVD, which is 80 minutes of the show in Anguilla. The DVD is extremely well produced - it's as close to the experience of the real show as you can get. The DVD starts out with an informal beach performance that ends with "One Particular Harbor" morphing into the on-stage concert. I wouldn't rate this as the best live Buffet CD, but the DVD makes it something special.
