Free Music Review: A different take on the album

Ok, so I think I am a different type of JEW fan than most people who have reviewed this cd so far. I actually did not like "Futures" much. I felt that on Futures the vocals lacked emotion and the songs were somewhat boring. My favorite album was Bleed American (aka self titled). Chase the Light is not as good as Bleed American but it is a close second in my opinion. Although the sound on the new album is very polished, the vocals are much more raw and filled with emotion than on Futures which is why I like Chase the Light much more. I also think this album has more energy and diversity than futures. Any way you look at it, this is a CD to get for sure, epecially if you liked any of JEW's previous cds.
