Free Music Notes for Walking Into ClarksdaleFree Music Review: Page and Plant are back on form Hit: 5 Stars
This album shows that Page and Plant aren't past it in any way. I loved this CD, playing it almost constantly, telling others how good it was, then prising it back from their hands when I needed another fix. This doesn't particularly Led-Zep like from a music point of view, although there is no mistaking Plant's vocal style. The band sound tight, and the production is good.
Free Music Review: It is what it is... A very true progression of their past together Hit: 5 Stars
This is a album that is not heavy rock like Zeppelin was. What this album is is a very loose and at times bluesy twangy jamming of their past time searinching their roots and their discovories of what they found in that sound of what they were searching for. No alot of fans wont like this but if you like a more mellow and relaxed feeling record of these two legends then this is for you.
Free Music Review: One Outstanding, Phenomenal & Bangin' Performance Hit: 5 Stars
Strange as it seems, I just want to give a hand to Jimmy & Robert for staying alive! I was a mere teen (15) when "Houses of the Holy" became my daily listening along with Goat Head Soup (Rolling Stones) & DSOTM (Pink Floyd). If these guys can make an album that sounds as good as "Walking into Clarksdale" 25 years down the road then I am standing behind them 100%. I love you both!
Free Music Review: A more mature Page and Plant Hit: 5 Stars
As usual you don't get what you expect from these guys. This is a great album. But like Zeppelin, it will take time to enjoy the album. They have always given us what we don't expect. This is a well woven album, but it is far from the ground pounding Zep we are used to. Most High is very much in the Kashmir and Stairway Heaven tradition and may become a classic in time.
Free Music Review: Lyrical and Guitar Masterpiece! Hit: 5 Stars
I am blown away. This album completely resonates with me. I know that music is subjective. IMHO, Walking Into Clarksdale is a masterpiece, No, it's not Led Zeppelin. It's almost better. We have Robert's enlightened lyrics (listen)! combined with Jimmy's masterful retro guitar and production. Much love to Page and Plant. Thank youl
