Nevertheless, even though her career has not been too long so far, only coming onto the Nashville scene in 1996 with her debut album, she DOES have quite a few hits so a GREATEST HITS album makes sense. 11 hits and 4 new/unreleased tracks, is a worthy purchase even for the diehard fan who has all these hits on her past 3 albums.

"Was That My Life" is the first and current single, a midtempo song that is reflective and uplifting, Jo Dee seems to really enjoy these positive songs. It's a great song. "Wishing Well" is actually a song that Jessica Andrews did on her 2001 album WHO I AM, Jo Dee's version is a little more uptempo and her version is just as good as Jessica's. "I Wish" is a reflective ballad about wishing good things for that past lover, and wishing that they still loved you. "You Belong In The Sun" is another uptempo positive song that would serve well as a single.

Now we have the hits. From her self titled debut, the breakthrough singles "Heads Carolina, Tails California" and "You're Not In Kansas Anymore" are included. Jo Dee really found her place with her sophomore album IM ALRIGHT, which spun off three consecutive #1 hits, "Bye Bye", "Stand Beside Me" and the title track. Also included from that album was the almost #1 hit "Lesson In Leavin" and the beautiful top 10 ballad "Because You Love Me". From her last album BURN, we have the hits such as "That's The Way", "Bring On The Rain" (with Tim McGraw), "Downtime" and the title track.

It's also an enhanced CD, you can play on your computer, and watch the "Bring On The Rain" video. Overall this is a great collection from a talented country singer, who I am sure will have many more hits to come.
