Overall, this is an excellent collection of music.
One very large question remains: Since this album includes the loving and well-intentioned, but musically mediocre song about Baez's son Gabriel ("Children And All That Jazz"), where on earth is her absolutely beautiful and haunting ballad to Gabriel's father, David Harris?
"A Song For David," which is not only intensely personal but also captures a taste of the politics of the time, should be an essential track on any recording that claims to include the very best from Baez's post-early-years works.
