That's right, there's nothing funny about Job For a Cowboy's sound. There's also nothing good, pleasant, worthwhile, intriguing, exciting, fun or groundbreaking. Heck, it's not even passable as muscianship.
I don't know how this band got on the Gingantour, or why they went on *AFTER* High on Fire, but there was no good reason for it. There is really no good reason for this band to exist. The amalgamation of noise I witnessed first hand on the Gigantour stop in Minneapolis had no sense of rhythm, melody, harmony or tempo, all key elements in any kind of music. If they don't make any money from future album sales they may be able to work for the Department of Defense developing some kind of less-lethal sound-based weapon.
