Free Music Review: One of the Best Guitar Players around in his element!
Hit: 5 Stars

I also bought this CD at the Kettering OH show and have listened to it twice since then. I hate when reviews cite Stevie Ray Vaughan when talking about Joe. I don't hear much SRV style in Smokin' Joe's sound. One thing he does have in common with SRV is that he simply manhandles a guitar while always keeping it musical and emotional. And the acoustic stuff will blow you away. This CD is the next best thing to being there. It's bluesy, it rocks hard, stretches out and offers some good variety. Oh, and the guy can sing his (BEEP) off too! Total package.

Free Music Review: Joe Bonamassa rocks!
Hit: 5 Stars

This has to be one of the best CD releases I have heard in years.
I thought it was just me, but all my friends agreed that Joe Bonamassa is one incredible guitar player and a darn good vocalist.
Buy these CD's (two CD set), grab your favorite beverage, and allow yourself the full 1-1/2 hours to listen all the way through.
I am an experienced guitarist, and I can hear the influences of SRV, Jimmy Page, Eric Johnson, and many other players that I love and admire.
If he comes anywhere near your town - buy a ticket! You'll be glad you did.

Free Music Review: Great CD
Hit: 5 Stars

Perhaps I am partial, being a fellow upstate NY native, but Joe Bonamassa is incredible. This is a great Blues Rock CD. There are some great versions of Joe's Classic tunes and a couple surprise covers. If this had come out in the mid 70's he would have been hailed as the next great thing. As it is, he is one of the best in the business and is still a young man. All I can say is wow. This is a must have for anyone who likes Blues Rock, or wishes that albums like those in the past were still made today!

Free Music Review: A MUST HAVE
Hit: 5 Stars

This guy is possibly the most underrated guitarist out there. Sure, he's got plenty of pyrotechnics to bring to the stage, but what really stands out in this recording is his pure musicianship. This truly captures Joe & his band in their element. Joe's studio recordings are good, but he's one of those artists who's MUCH better live. I saw him in June '08 in a small club in Alexandra and was amazed at how good (and LOUD) he was.

Buy this - then go see him live!

Free Music Review: More than worth it
Hit: 5 Stars

This double CD set is more than worth the cost even if you have all of Joe's other CD's. It contains some rare live performances and really long (but Great) versions of some of his most popular favorites. Several contain medleys including bits of somes like ZZ Top's "Just Got Paid" and Yes's "Starship Trooper" as well as riffs from Led Zep and Peter Frampton. They are truly hard to get tired of and remind me more of Joe's early releases. Get it, you won't be disappointed.
