Free Music Review: Another classic from Joe Budden
Hit: 5 Stars
Joe Budden returns with his official sophomore release, and go figure, he creates another classic album. This is the 5th album of his I own, and 3rd that I'd give 5 stars (along with his "Mood Music & Mood Music 3" albums) and the other 2 I'd give 4.5 stars (his self titled debut and "The Album Before the Album", I don't have his "Mood Music 2" album"). Like always he has some very deep songs and some just plain out hard songs and lyrics, not to mention a great flow. Guests are minimal, like all his albums, only rapping on 2 songs and doing the hook on one. Of the 13 songs, 6 are almost classic material and the other 7 are very good. Production is very nice as well. The Klasix and Blastah Beats each do 4 songs, and Fyu-Chur, Moss, Dub B, Qwan and Versatile & Dilemma each do 1 song. It's a shame Def Jam didn't market him right and screwed him over cause he is way better than almost anyone out now and should be selling millions. This will definitely be a top 3 album of 2009! Another must have album from a great rapper that never disappoints.

2009 official sophomore album from the Rap kingpin. Padded Room is the follow-up to his 2003 self titled album which launched the hit "Pump It Up." Joe says this album is 'basically in the same vein as Mood Muzik, just a little more structure and the mood a little lighter.
