Free Music Notes for Kikujiro (1999 Film)Free Music Review: Moving Hit: 5 Stars
I first watched Kikujiro in mu Japanese class and I immediately fell in love with the movie, and I also fell in love with the soundtrack. I was worried, however, when I looked to order the soundtrack that I would only be able to find the Japanese copy forsale. Luckily, I was able to find a domestic copy of this soundtrack unlike those for other Hisaishi fims such as A Scene at the Sea and Hanabi. The music is centered around one them mainly with different instrumental arrangements. Don't worry this theme is really good. My favorite CD for when I read.
Free Music Review: Plain and Excellent Hit: 5 Stars
When I first watched the movie I was deeply moved, not by the story or the acting (although it was also very good), but by the music. This soundtrack is probably Hisaishi's best, and that's really saying a lot! Hisaishi is my favorite living composer, but this is his only sountrack that seriously gives me chills when I listen to it. It's a must-have for any Hisaishi fan, and a very good investment for the classical music appreciator. Be sure to listen to Amazon's thirty second song clips or watch the movie if you're unsure.
Free Music Review: Jo Hishiasi... do I need to tell any further? Hit: 5 Stars
I think that Jo Hishiahi (Joe Hishiashi) is one of the best score composers in Japan. You might tell me that I'm wrong, and well, perhaps I am, but, IMHO (in my honest opinion) Jo is, by far, the best.I must admit that I entered Jo by Takeshi Kitano's films (and Kikujiro No Natsu) is one of his (if not the) best Kitano's film ever. If you like piano scores, calms soundings and great musicscapes (landscapes recreated by music, also mindscapes), this is the best album you can ever have...
Free Music Review: Truly a Masterpiece Hit: 5 Stars
This was the first time I even heard of Joe Hisaishi, and I've never seen the movie despite being recommended by my friends. However, just listening to the music, it is full of inspiration, and power. It is very simple, and yet moves a person emotionally. Especially the piano, violin, and other musical arrangement was excellent. I would recommend buying this CD, even if you'd never seen this movie before.
Free Music Review: Great CD Hit: 5 Stars
This CD was given to me by my sister and I was quite amazed since I usually don't listen to this type of music. I have never seen the movie but after listening to the soundtrack I would like to see if it is as good as the cd. All the songs are beautiful and the theme song "Summer" pops up throughout the whole cd and has a very nice rhythm.
